I attended a lot of activities at this facility, from the first year it was open. Although it allowed us to not be cold during the winter, the design was not fan friendly. This past July I was in Minneapolis and had the opportunity to view the construction of the replacement. Based on what I saw I am excited about... More

Ahhh yes, many memories from Vikings to Twins games. Unfortunately they designed a horrible facility that did no service to the teams or fans. Thankfully the fans are resilient and we are now getting what is deserved, quality facilities for the prices we pay!!!

Alas, "The Dome" is gone, and another stadium is going up in it's place. The dome was an ok place to watch football and baseball. They even had roller skating around it's concourses in some evenings. It had it's moments both good and bad.

This place is now history, it was torn down a couple of years ago. it was an interesting place in its time. but it was a dump except when the Monster Truck Show was in town.

Last trip here was one week before the roof collapsed under the weight of accumulated snow. December 2010 (Not Aug 2014 as indicated below, that is the oldest date you can select) Not emotional about it though. The sight lines were OK, upper nosebleed seats too inclined. 4 dollar bottles of Coke(didnt get to keep cap), 6 dollar plastic bottles... More

Showplace for the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. For a stadium, it was pretty comfortable. I truly liked that it was our of the elements. Minnesota can have horrendous rain and snow storms.

I hope you're not looking for this place because it doesn't exist anymore. It never was that great of a stadium, but for those of us who grew up watching the Vikings play outdoors in the snow and ice, it was a welcome addition in the 80's. A new stadium is currently being built.

I had been looking forward to visiting the Metrodome again, because that is where I met my wife. When I showed up, the Metrodome was not there, and workers appeared to be building something else instead. Based on that, I can no longer recommend visiting the Metrodome.

We got to play a softball game on the field. And the Garretson Teener baseball team got to play a game on the field.

The Metrodome no longer exists. Most people remember it fondly. I recall visiting as a kid. When not being used for baseball, football, or monstertruck rallies, you could participate in "Roller Dome". Taking advantage or the smooth seamless concrete concourse, you could pick up some real speed flying around that thing on Rollerblades!
