Bike paths take you all over the area. Rent water equipment (paddle boards, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats) and eat delicious food at Tin Fish. Walk up Lake Street & browse shops. Enjoy!

The is is one of a series of lakes all connected by bike and walking paths. Like most european lakes the lakes are not private but easily accessible to the public. Big Lake, extraordinary view, kayaking is suggested, parking is a little bit difficult may be its because of nice weather.

Really delightful lakefront. And if you like nicely done houses talk a walk around Zenith avenue on the west side of the lake. The houses and gardens are spectacular.

10 minute drive from our hotel downtown to Lake Calhoun. My 13 year old daughter and I rented a tandem bike and biked around the lake. So relaxing! Enjoyed the neat view of the downtown skyline. Several beaches located on the lake...perfect for a break to catch some sun!

All runners should check out this area for a great loop. The scenery of the local houses and all the people also on the trails is fun. Great location.

This is my FAVORITE place in MN! So beautiful and peaceful there! We came to visit MN from SC and I'm so glad we stopped here! Great place to go for a run, 3.1 mile walk, roller blade, bike etc! They also have parks that your kids can play at or a small area where you can swim. Wonderful place... More
