Lake Calhoun offers an urban yacht club, a sailing school for kids, a number of swimming beaches, sand volley ball, roller blading, canoe rentals, stand up paddle board rentals and plenty of fun. If you get hungry or thirsty you can grab a bite at the Tin Fish during summer months. Parking can be a bit difficult to find, but... More

Love this lake! In a very dense part of Uptown, it's easily accessible and always open! I love walking it and people watching. It gets super busy in the afternoon/evenings, almost annoyingly so. There's a beach, sailboats, canoes, playgrounds, a concession stand and more. Great place for families, couples, friends to hang and socialize. But I wouldn't choose it for... More

Lake Calhoun is one of the chain of lakes located in Uptown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was a privilege for me to see this lake encompassing a radius of five kilometers. It is circularly shaped were you can go around the lake to run, jog, bike and just walk around to admire the view. It has a swimming area but I would... More

Great way to get a little exercise in :) The loop is just over 3 miles, and can be easily walked in an hour! You can always stop at the Tin Fish if you need a little break! Also, a great lake to paddle board on in the summer... you can go for hours and hours since all the lakes... More

Trail around Lake Calhoun is almost always clear and very winter safe for running. Now being seen is a summer run. It is just a little crowded.

I was in the area for a business meeting and took a nice relaxing walk along Lake Calhoun. This is a great city with lots to do and see.

There are tons of things to do at Lake Calhoun. Beaches, kayaks, canoes, food and plenty of people grilling, and playing outdoor games. There are bike trails that run thru 4 lakes and even cross country skiing in the winter. It is a most-go for visitors.

You have to walk around this lake. It is the main lake of the isles, but just as beautiful as the others. Tons more busy, and in the summer time, Tin Fish is open nearby to stop and have a snack. Wonderful environment.

Pretty views. Great crowd watching. Tin fish restaurant on the walk right in uptown by shopping and restaurants. Part of the chain of lakes trail. These lakes and trails are the highlights of minneapolis and not to be missed
