Three miles around the scenic lake. Lots of things to do. Walking, cycling, canoeing, SUPs or just relaxing. It's a Sunday afternoon tradition for our family to take the dogs for a walk

I had a few hours to fill so I spent the morning at the lake. Surprisingly busy for a Thursday morning. I rented a mountain bike for two laps of the lake. Separate walking and bike tracks ( one way only) makes it very easy to get around. The lake and the architecture is great and it was good to... More

We went on a Saturday. Very crowded and parking was tough. Great for renting kayaks/paddle boards!! (15-25$) Make sure you are parked legally and if you are in a pay parking lot to pay; several lots/streets were not marked very well. Great views! There is a place to get food and drinks by the lake, which is really convenient!

MSP has thousands of miles of bike paths and beautiful scenery to go along with them. Rent a bike and do the other lakes in the area as well. Loved the architecture and lots around the Lake of the Isles. Very special and memorable!

It's not Lake Harriet, but it's still very nice. One thing it beat's Harriet on, is the restaurant, The Tin Fish. They have simply the BEST fish tacos anywhere. Nice hiking and biking trails and he central uptown location.

A great place to spend the day, it is beautiful and clean with loads of happiness everywhere you look :-) The Tin Fish was a great place to stop after cycling and running around the lake.

Lake Calhoun is a great place to go if you're going to walk for exercise or sit for people watching. The Lake is about 3 miles in diameter, and it's trails are used by locals for walking, running, biking or in-line skating. There are kayak rentals available. And a concession stand for ice cream. It's just off of the trendy... More

Amazing atmosphere; everyone is smiling, happy and enjoying their time outside and around the water. So close to great places to eat and even better scenes to take in. Good distance walk but not unfeasible; could be a quick afternoon jaunt.

Though the neighborhood surrounding the lake is gorgeous, the views of the lake while you walk around it are not as attractive as some of the other lakes in this chain. It's a longer walk for a complete circumnavigation as well.
