The path around the lakes is perfect for a job anytime during the day and the tiny beeches are good for a little picnic with the kids.

Lake Calhoun is a great lake. There are several beaches you can go to, and you can rent sailboats for an afternoon. No motorized boats allowed.

The chain of lakes in Minneapolis is truly spectacular! With biking, beaches, volleyball, rose gardens, canoeing, pebble boarding and people watching you can't go wrong. The band shell on Lake Harriet offers a variety of bands and entertainment along with a bird sanctuary!

Stroll or bike the 13 miles of lakeside paved pathways that rim four of the city lakes or canoe, kayak ,skate or ski them. Gawk at the mansions that line the shores, stop at the restaurants scattered along the way, catch a concert at the bandshell or just sit on the bench and take in the views. It's a great... More

Driving, riding a bike.or walking the area is beautiful. Wildlife from fishing, birding and even a fox, you will be amazed at the variety of sights. There is even a dog park ,my dog prefers to walk, meet and greet all of the adventures in the area. It is a fun clean chain of lakes right in the city area.

Two of these lakes are conncted - Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun - and then Lake Harriet isn't connected by water but there is... More

When I visited Mpls many moons ago on a "scouting" mission, my friend who lived here, brought me here first. OMG, I thought I had found paradise on earth. I decided this is the area I wanted to live and eventually that it just what occurred. The chain of lakes is surrounded by dual bike/walking paths that are always well... More
