A must see architectural structure. Saw the Heidi Chronicles and it was very entertaining! Beautiful setting, great play, and all the seats seem good. A wonderful venue for live theater.

We wondered free and visited two viewing areas: the cantilevered viewing deck on the river side and the room way at the top (maybe the 'amber" room) with views over the entire city. Ask for help and directions when you get in--the staff is helpful and can give better directions!

A great venue for plays on the Mississippi in Minneapolis. Outstanding building, great theaters and great views of the downtown area. Easy access from downtown hotels. Length of visit depends on the play or attraction you attend

If you enjoy the theater, put this at the top of your list for your next visit to Minneapolis! Even if you live in the Twin Cities - and especially if you went to the Guthrie at its previous location adjacent to the Walker - it's well worth seeing this gem of Minneapolis, the state of Minnesota, and the Midwest.... Beautiful building overlooks Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis, and serves as home to the finest acting company outside New York. Try to catch a show on the famous Wurtele Thrust Stage.

The Guthrie is a must see in Minneapolis. Everything about it is lovely. My favorite by far has been A Christmas Carol but Jane Eyre was fabulous as well. They have wonderful actors/actresses and the set designs are fabulous.

Truly a world class experience when you attend a production at the Guthrie. The building is open (check the web for exact times) for tours and that itself is worth a visit to see the amazing "endless bridge" jutting out over the Mississippi. It is especially lovely at night when you can all of the lights sparkling on the river.... More

We saw a White Snake. It was a lovely show. We really enjoyed it. The theater is pretty cool. We are at the restaurant inside it which was interesting and overall good plus good for timing dinner with a 730 show. Make sure you leave extra time as once they close the doors they don't let late people in.

This past week, a very large group of us visited the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis for a BACK STAGE TOUR. I was totally amazed at what goes on back there.
