Love going to this theater for movies. It's a beautiful theater & the price is just right! The popcorn is the best.

The Riverview Theater is a wonderful place to catch second run movies for an extremely reasonable price. The architecture is beautiful, the movies are fantastic and price is right. They also have midnight screenings and special events. By far, the best place to see a movie in the Twin Cities!

Parking can be tricky, so arriving a bit early is a good idea. But the discounted second run movies, mid-century modern interior and reasonably priced snacks are worth the trip. Their seats are updated with cupholders, and arms that can be raised to improve the ability to snuggle while you watch.

Took the kids to see the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Unique architecture, very reasonable concessions, comfortable seats.

This discount theater gets you into opera-stadium style seating for between $3-6 per ticket. Watch out for special events: midnight screenings of Firefly showings, Oscar shorts, even the Olympics.

What can you say about this terrific theatre? It is inexpensive, historic, and a great experience. Terrific movie selections and they run after they show elsewhere so it is so good.

Going to the Riverview is like what it used to feel like to go to the movies. Not so many selections. Not all the new flashy screens or chairs that vibrate. You walk in and it feels like you are entering into something classic. The audience gets into the movies more than at big theaters. People never clap at the... More

Love the Riverview. Excellent deals on films, popcorn, drinks, and snacks. However, I've been lamenting that their program hasn't been great in the past few months.

Here is a theater where the audience still cheers the good "guy", jeers the bad and claps for the good movies as the curtain closes. Yes and the pop corn is as great as they say.

It's always fun to visit the Riverview Theater because of the authentic retro furnishings and maintenance of this historic movie house. I find it satisfying to go here not only for the super-cheap movies and treats, but to support this distinctive business that helps keep the neighborhood feel in Longfellow.
