Lovely movie theater. Nice to go to a place that is not your standard chain theater. Popcorn really is good. Love the stadium style seating and how the patrons are often expressive enough to share the movie experience.

Great 50's preserved theater. The GM wears a suit- it feels like an occasion every time you go; you feel special. I cannot say enough good things! And the butter is real butter on the popcorn!

Large screen, stadium seating, popcorn with real butter, prices right out of our parent's generation - what not to like, right? So the films come around a little late, most of us do not have time to rush out and see every new movie. Wait until a few people tell you it is great, then go see it. Saves time!

We saw the afternoon showing of The Grand Budapest Hotel. The theater prices can't be beat, the restoration is impressive, and the viewing and sound experience superb. If you haven't seen a show here, find time to do it soon.

Good movie selections, nice old fashioned movie theater with appropriate updates. Good prices. Great place for teens to see movies any time.

This theater with its one screen manages to show a wide variety of movies in a single day, from kiddie matinees on the weekends to more adult movies in the evenings and sometimes special screenings of older movies or short films from the awards season. The price is right for both the movie and the popcorn and the seating is... More

This is the theater I used to ride my bike to for Saturday matinees when I was a kid (which was a very long time ago). Little has changed since then except the technology advances. It was built in 1948 and had stadium seating before anyone knew what that was. $3 for adults, $2 for kids, reasonably priced concessions. This... More

The Riverview Theatre is small, shows films after they have been off the initial circuit, is located in a cute little neighborhood, and has the very best popcorn ever. This is historic theatre at its finest!

I don't frequent the Riverview - but every time I go there I am reminded of why I love it. I always make it to the Oscar nominated documentary shorts and am glad that they are willing to host films, that other theatres do not. The decor in there is a blast from the past. The staff are friendly and... More
