The Minneapolis Institute of Arts was a wonderful surprise on our trip and I would highly recommend giving it a visit. It was free to visit and a wonderfully large building to explore. I really loved the sculptures and photography exhibit! There is a parking ramp you can utilize, but I would suggest driving around the park that is to... More

This is a top notch art museum. It's huge with a great variety of art from all areas. I especially liked the Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit and the classical paintings. Plus, it's free!

You could easily spend a full day here and still feel like you didnt have enough time to see everything. There are 3 seperate floors although the art is mainly on the 2nd and 3rd floor but there is lots of variety and so many rooms. Lots of history there also as some of the sculptures are thousands of years... More

A really impressive collection spanning all different periods. Free to get in to the standard collections, but extra for their special exhibits. Thoughtful layout, including a gift shop, small cafe, and other amenities (like audio and guided tours). One thing to be aware of with the special exhibits (the ones you pay for tickets): the security varies by exhibit collection.... More

We were there for a special exhibit. Museum was well laid out and service at checkin was good. Watch out for confusing signs regarding street parking. You might get towed! Best to park in the lot and pay a few bucks.

Excellent art museum. Rivals the Met in NYC although much smaller. Beautiful facility. Quality exhibits. The current Da Vinci Codex exhibit was fabulous

Exhibits are cool and you can get close to most of them. Loved all the artifacts from Ancient China as well as all the statues.
