Great Museum

The museum is incredible. A lot of amazing art work. The only downside is the gift shop which is light on actual art related items.

We had tickets to the Habsburg Empire exhibit. The exhibit was tremendous, at least ten rooms of artifacts. We arrived early and tried to see as much as we could, but the museum is vast and wonderful, can't wait to go back.

Beautifully curated, rich, varied, easy parking, good food options. Surely one of the best art museums in the midwest. Don't miss it.

Amazing museum with top artefacts and paintings. It's surely a match for the well know Art Institute of Chicago. The museum alone is worth a trip to Minneapolis. Definitely worth a visit or ... more.

The MIA is well worth visiting at any time for the general collection, which offers a wide variety of ancient to contemporary art. Membership is always worth while, if you have a family. The special exhibits can be really crowded so try to visit on a non-weekend day or holiday. The gift shop has scaled up its offering in the... More

Have gone to the MIA many times. We are fortunate to have this interesting place to go to. There are events going on and since I love art I have spent many winter and rainy days here. Kind of reminds me of art institute in Chicago. Lots of fun.

The Minneapolis Art Museum never fails to impress. It has many awesome works of art, knowledgeable docents, and easy to navigate areas. The Hapsburg exhibit was superb.

An encyclopedic museum with especially good Asian artworks. Don't miss the special exhibitions, the photography area exhibitions and the inclusion of contemporary works into historical collections. Also the Max Beckman paintings, a personal favorite.
