Some of Jim Brandenburg's award-winning photos are artfully displayed in one of Luverne's beautifully restored historical buildings. Also housed in the building is a military museum which honors local service members from each major war. Fans of Brandenburg will also enjoy a visit to the tallgrass prairie just a few miles north of town, close to Blue Mounds, operated by... More

I have been a fan of Brandenburg and his work as a photographer for National Geographic for over 25 years and have visited his gallery in Ely, Minnesota where he was involved with the International Wolf Center and had some stunning photos of the northern lights. Located on the ground of the county courthouse, the Gallery has interesting photography. Military memorial museum, also worth a (free) visit, is on the second floor.

The Gallery is co-located with multiple other interesting venues with superb staff. There is a WW2 and other war museum displays along with the Luverne Chamber of Commerce. The Brandenburg photos and other items are nicely displayed. Many fine art items are also for sale. You can learn about the area and activities at the Chamber Office embedded in the... More

Jim Brandenburg, the noted wildlife photographer, grew up in this area and partnered with the local chamber of commerce to create this gallery. The overall theme of the gallery focuses on the prairie and many of the pictures are from the local area. The gallery also showcases Brandenburg’s Chased by the Light and Touched by the Sky series, when he... More

The Brandenburg photos are so very nice from the Blue Mound areas. They also have the best WW2 display I have ever seen. They have free admission and it is soooooooooo NICE!
