Fun time at the UofM Raptor Release Sept 27. Such a magnificent natural setting to release the rehabilitated birds. A great educational opportunity with various local nature related groups providing information. Wonderful to be able to see raptures up close.. Also enjoyed a trip to the orchard to pick delicious apples.

On our way from home to somewhere else, we looked on the internet for something fun to do on the way. Going through Hastings, MN, we found this center was on our way. This is a privately owned and run nature center. The Carpenter family used to live there and donated the land. We went into the visitor center and... More

This was my second year running the Apple Blossom race and I just loved it! The trails were clean and it was a perfect Minnesota Park! Loved the buildings and the view was to die for! I would suggest family gatherings, weddings etc.. as its the perfect spot for something like that. Great park for walking as well!

We did an approx 3 mile walk on the trails. The paved trails need some repair but the views of the river were good.

Beautiful area to walk around. The main building has a few large birds to view. They have a raptor release in the Fall for birds that hve been rehabilitated. Worth the trip!

We discovered this place by accident. We were traveling part of the Great River Road and decided to drive along the St Croix river on county road 21 - St Croix Trail - and saw the sign at the entrance. It was a lucky find. This nature center is worth visiting. I didn't take a photo of the fields and... More

Walking trails, gardens, apple orchard, bird watching and learning center. Great place for a quiet walk on paved trails with views of the St Croix. Free to walk the trails. The center offers programs for children for a small fee (apple orchard tours, tapping a maple tree for syrup). We saw a bald eagle released to the wild once, too.... More
