I have been to the Old Log Theater many times over the years but it has always been to see a British farce, which are always fun! This time, they did a musical... "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and it was such fun! The performers were awesome, the musical score is great, and the sound is wonderful. I love... More

I had won some theater tickets at a golf outing several years ago and was going to redeem them. I was unsure if the theater would honor the gift certificate as the theater had changed ownership. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly young gentleman that was more than helpful and took extremely good care of me. I... More

The Old Log Theater is known by many from the old WCCO personalities Boon and Erickson who played their often, but the facility has kept itself reasonably quiet. We have visited it twice this year and have enjoyed it immensely! These are professional actors and the live stage shows are often musicals. A few locals show up in the casts,... More

The performances are well done with actors likely brought in from NYC specifically for the presentations. Good restaurant in the theater. Excellent for coffee and dessert, or late night dining after the performance.

Entree's were interesting and tasty. Portions not very large. Relatively expensive dinner to combine with a play. Not bad if you don't like to travel to more than 1 location on a night out. Still, price was higher than expected for food we had.

This was our first time at Old Log Theater. Seats were row 2, 15-16. Great view of characters, may go back a few rows next time to get more of a broad view. Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels was playing. Cast performed very well. Although I hadn't seen the movie, the scenes were well played out. We had dinner at Cast and... More

Saw Dirty, Rotten, Scoundrels last night. What an awesome production! The writing is hysterical and all extremely well delivered by a very talented cast. We were laughing through the entire thing. I have not been to this theatre since I was a little girl. I love all the new updates. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a... More

If you are looking for a fun night out while in the Minneapolis area, look no further than the Old Log Theater, a few miles west of town in Excelsior. For years we have attended dinner and a play at this well-known small theater venue, but it was recently sold to another local family. The new owners have revamped the... More
