Very exciting!

It's neat to see the real live animals. I think it's cool because it's just like the Bears are not on the other side of the wall it's just like they are right next to you.

An educational delight, learning about bears and the great north woods! The new Ecology Hall gives you a great sense of the North Country and the creatures who call it home. The Bear Center is THE place in the US to learn about living with bears, and especially how bears live. What they eat, how they communicate, why we shouldn't... More

I really enjoyed my visit there. It's full of useful informations and the the photo exhibits are just beautiful. It was fun to watch the bears get fed and walk around. The guides gave interesting facts and the film inside was very interesting.

Lots of great exhibits and it's fun to see the bears too. Stay long enough so you can take a tour of the bears in their individual pens. We spent 1.5 hours here and could have definitely spent more! There's a ton of gorgeous wildlife photos here and I could have spent an hour on the interactive plant and wildlife... More

We visited on a cool, rainy day. The center is very welcoming. Grandma came along with us. There is ample handicap parking, and the center is wheelchair friendly. There was a nice film, and we got a behind the scenes look at a couple of their bears. The staff, noticing the wheelchair, allowed us to take a shortcut through the... More

The new Northwoods exhibit along with the 11:00 am feeding of Honey Bear along with the bear den in the kids area were the highlights for our family. Two hours was a sufficient length of time to see the Bears and check out the various exhibits. I recommend this spot as a nice Plan B when the weather is less... More

Wow just wow. A beautiful building with displays on many subjects about bears including lots of great art work. Took the behind the scenes so could see the bears up close. So worth it.

I should just admit that I'm a complete bear nut. So of course I'm going to love this place. But I really do -- much more than seeing unhappy bears stuck in zoos. The Bear Center combines lots of informative exhibits, videos, and audio clips about bears with a really great habitat for four very well cared for bears. One... More

Wow! Up close and personal with bears! I read other reviewers experiences before we went and that was helpful! (Get there during a feeding time) A great family experience! The center was well done and after visiting there I understand more about bears! So much great information! Beautifully put together and the staff were amazing! I talked to one lady... More

Well informed and committed staff. Good explanations of bear behavior, superb display on bear myths. We visited three bears and got explanations of. Their lives and the research being done. Great wildlife art and photographs. A lot of information well presented.
