It's hard to believe how many scenic, secluded areas there are in the middle of Duluth and Chester Park is rights towards the top of the list. It's a great place to hike with trails around the river and through the woods. We hiked up to Chester Bowl from 15th Ave. E. & 5th St. and it was like we... More

Our family of four loves to hike and take in the sites while on vacation and no matter how much time we have we can usually find something. Chester Park looked like it would be a really quick little stop and then on to the next park. We were really impressed with the trail running up and down both sides... More

Terrible only because we found all roads into the park closed. Don't know for how long. A local walking her dog near a road entrance told us the park was scheduled to open sometime in August. If you're from out of town, it's best to make sure park repairs are complete before heading over. When open, it sure sounds worth... More

Chester Creek has the feel of a north shore stream... but you don't have to leave the city to experience the beauty. A lovely walk.

A beautiful, quiet place to walk and even hike a bit. Great for runners who get bored with the road. The water runs all year around, and it very restful to sit beside. As well, a simply fabulous place for pictures!

Chester park is awesome to hike in, you can cross country ski in the winter. Feels like you're somewhere far away but you're right in town. There are lots of places to enter the park. Many people bring their dogs in. You can take a leisurely stroll or turn it into a rigorous workout. It's extra beautiful during fall colors!

Great park for dog walking and hiking -- can be strenuous if you walk all the way to the top of the old ski jump hill! Scenic path along the creek, then Lake Superior views from the very top of the park.
