Beautiful beach front where you can walk way out into clear water, if you can take the cold water

Excellent opportunity to view Downtown Duluth from the water. The beach goes for miles and offers clean sand and clear water. When the temps are warm enough you may enjoy walking out into the world's largest fresh water lake. In many areas along the beach you can walk out 100 ft or more while still only chest high in the... Where else do you get both rocky and sand beaches within a mile of each other? We love to go to this sandy beach to just walk around, enjoy the waves, and relax. We haven't spent a lot of time here, but it would be fun to have a bonfire in the evening. There's a park and volleyball nets before... More

Park Point is the narrow piece of land that is on the other side of the Aerial Lift Bridge. You can drive a couple of miles out the airport on the end of the point. There are many sand beaches with great views of the city. The unique time to go there is in the evenings in the spring when... More

We always rent a house on Park Point to stay in, it's peaceful and beautiful! I usually decide that I'm going to move to Minnesota after our stay, but then they remind me about the winters... We'll be back soon!

I always stop out on the Point and spend some quiet time with my toes in the sand. My grandson usually can find a friend and play on the shoreline or dig in the sand and we can relax and listen to the waves and water. There is nothing quite comparable.

Plentiful parking, natural beauty as far as the eye can see, free entertainment, what's not to like?!? Absolutely gorgeous area and worth the visit if you are in Duluth.

Park Point is a destination during the summer. You can walk the entire length of the beach from Canal Park all the way to the Superior Shipping channel. Near the Superior end is the public beach with lifeguards and snacks. Be warned, however, that the water is always cold and often dangerously so, even in the heat of the summer.

There's lots of parking, and the beach is beautiful. They allow dogs on leashes and from what I saw, people are very respectful of pick up after their dogs. There's portable toilets that are a bit gross but I guess it's better than nothing.

We attended the Park Point Art Fair during our weekend in Duluth and had a wonderful time. The vendors were varied and very friendly. Prices were decent and selection was good. The weather was beautiful and we walked on the beach afterwards. The music was quality though the seating was limited. This was a high point of our visit to... More

We were just out here on 7/3 in the evening. This is one of our favorite places to picnic, as it is not nearly as busy as Canal Park, yet we can see and sit along the water of the harbor. Gorgeous views of Superior and Duluth at sunset.
