Park Point offers a white sand beach, a back to nature experience, Grandma's marathon, Steve and Trica's Dairy Queen, hotels on the water, both bar and family style dining, great lakes maritime museum, walk to everything fun, and the aerial lift bridge. Quite unique vacation.

We drove all the way out to the seaplane base and walked over the dunes. There were several hundred yards of ice on the lake but the view was fantastic!

We always stop here while we're in Duluth just to see if things have changed since the year prior, and to see what different ice formations are going on

The drive out to Park Point is always fun. We were last there in the winter, but each season has its own appeal. This is a particularily warm winter, but there were still lots of folks ice fishing on the river side (port side). On the other side, Superior was up to it's usual display.

I just love Park Point. It has something for everyone of every ability. If your short on time just over the lift bridge to the east you will find the first beach parking lot. This is a nice beach close to canal park and the old light house on the canal. this is a nice short walk with a good... More

There are a few beaches to go to.. The water looks so nice like a ocean.. But be ready for very cold, water . Nice to walk the beach. Down the very end is a park that you can walk and a small play ground .

'Marciaville" a mini, serene, beautiful home lighting display on the lake. See this soon before Marcia ends her holiday lighting passion.

Supposedly this is one of the longest fresh water sand spits in the world, but I am not sure. What I *do* know is that this is a great spot for all seasons. Suggestions from a local: 1) The beach at Lafayette Square is our favorite, and not as far down as the main beach. 2) You can walk out... More

Many people come here to go to the beach but few take the time to hike all the way down to the Superior Entry and see the adjacent Wisconsin Point and lighthouse. We've done this hike in the spring and now in the fall and it's an easy 2 mile hike along the beach and through the red and white... More
