Well worth the drive.

It's always fun to take a ride over the Lift Bridge. It seems that every year sees changes on Park Point. Nice spots along the way with picnic areas and benches to sit on. We... read more

It's always fun to take a ride over the Lift Bridge. It seems that every year sees changes on Park Point. Nice spots along the way with picnic areas and benches to sit on. We have driven out on the Point on every visit to Duluth and we've been going there for the past 20 years and we have only... More

I personally feel like this beach is on the Northern Atlantic Ocean. Its very nice with plenty of places to park for free. The water is kind of chilly, but still a sweet place.

While in Duluth for a mini family reunion spent about a two hour day at the beach and it was fun. Water was clean and a bit chilly but the kids had a blast. So easy to park and just a one minute walk to the beach. It was a more than hot day in Duluth so it was a... More

This is one of the largest sand bars in the world. You almost feel you could be at the ocean which is a unique experience for land-locked Minnesotans. This is the only place on the North Shore that I know of that people swim in Lake Superior. The sun warms the water along the sandbar area just enough that the... More

Great place for a picnic and relaxing on the beach. The water is cool, but there is an opportunity for the intrepid to get wet. Some food is available at the pavilion.

Beautiful beach area which is kept clean and boasts plenty of room. We there to do some agate hunting, but, struck out.

Left for our kayaking tour from this lovely beach. Bring water shoes and a wet-suit for this chilly water!

Such a beautiful unspoilt area of Duluth. I cycled over the Ariel bridge with my daughter and her boyfriend on a beautiful sunny day and didn't know what to expect. Park point has some beautiful homes and stunning scenery right on Lake Superior, def worth a visit

Beautiful views. My daughter had fun rock hunting while wading in the VERY cold lake. My favorite part of the Duluth trip! :-)

I have watched the Point change over the years but one thing that has improved is the protection of the shoreline and the respect for access to wonderful Lake Superior. For those who want to feel as if you're in another state (I think of Florida for me in the winter months) bring your beach chair and a good book.... More
