Built between 1905-1908 to resemble a 17th-century country estate, Duluth's 39-room "American Castle" retains the majority of its original furnishings and art and, amazingly, closely resembles the way it looked when its owners, the Congdon family, first occupied it in 1908. Situated on a wooded lot, the mansion boasts spectacular views of Lake Superior.

I had a guard check my ID (I'm over 30) then tell me that it was fake. After I assured him it wasn't, he looked at it again, and then told me it was expired. I showed him the date and it was still good for another 20 days. The same guard yelled at me for having my hoody up... More

You'll be paying for this 'remodel'. Yes, the first floor is smoke free. New machines along with old. This casino is hell bent on 'progressive' machines that don't pay well at all. It all goes toward the 'progressive'. I have played here for years and have yet to win a 'major' progressive. The same people seem to win over and... More

Fun times for a weekend get away. Stay in Canal Park at a hotel and the Casino is just a 10-15 min walk away. Try the Willy Wonka machine it is entertaining.

We were not impressed as to the location. It is a very small casino and the outside is pretty seedy. We will not go again.

Hubby and I went here to pass time before checking into our hotel. We signed up for a club card and they gave us each $15 in slot play. We ended up walking away with $180.. Didn't even have to touch the money we brought! Nice casino, didn't go upstairs but we liked how the non smoking was he first... More

I didn't hear one machine ding with a winner, nor did I hear any excitement from any tables. However, the cocktails are actually decently made, so I'll give it a poor rating instead of terrible

Upstairs is newly remodeled, but it only has four tables and seemingly no ventilation. The smoke was awful. The dealers weren't friendly or sociable, and a lot of the patrons were riff-raffish. The Superior Street (first level) opens Monday and is non-smoking. Hopefully there is better service and atmosphere there. The drink girls checked-in frequently, which is nice.

Stay way from this place. Just down right Nasty and dirty... Doesn't look like anyone knows how to clean anything in this casino.

This years trip to Duluth for Memorial weekend and out family's annual trip to Fon-du-Luth casino was better than in years past. It seems like they finally put in a venting system to help with the cigarette smoke and there were a few new slot machines. This is a small casino though so don't get your hopes up. Also, the... Casino backed out on a partnership they had with the city of Duluth.... has gone downhill since then. Don't waste your time or money there.
