We hit this park end of July 2014. The flowers were unbelievable. We must have hit the peak of the roses blooming. We stayed for hours taking pictures and walking around the park. Even our 8 year old son wanted to take pictures and had plenty of positive things to say about our time at the park. There are places... More

You can park at the Rose Garden and walk to Canal Park. There are paths down to the lake that are a little steep but so worth it to splash around in the cold water on a hot day.

Went there in the fall and it was absolutely stunning! The colors were beautiful and outlooking the lake is just amazing!

It's a beautiful garden with benches and a fountain. It overlooks Lake Superior, so it's very picturesque. It also has about the only free parking in Duluth, so that's a bonus.

A beautiful park just north of the main downtown of Duluth. Great Rose Gardens, and it is likely you will see a wedding if you go to the park on a Saturday. Make sure that you take the bridge over the RR Tracks and go down to the beach. A great place to have your photo taken with the Lift... More

Both of these areas are beautiful. We walked the lake walk and found the Leif Erickson park but couldn't find the rose gardens. We walked a bit further but still didn't find it. Came back 2 days later and walked even further to try and find the gardens. We finally gave up and on our way back and almost to... More

The rose garden is so beautiful! It is so nice to walk through and gives a great view of Superior and ships passing by. It made a great backdrop for some family photo's!

Beautiful - 6 acres of roses... We went in July, which we were told was the peak of rose season. Beautiful and smelled amazing. So cool!!

The old-fashioned aroma of roses was reminiscent of our childhood. It was so beautiful every corner. We still did not seeing every plot of flowers. The locals will return to vist. Kudos to our gargeners!

This lakeside park celebrates Leif Erickson, who visited our land in the year 1000 (or so) and generously shared his DNA. The rose garden behind his statue has 1800 bushes, and the peak bloom occurs in mid-July (when we visited). This is one of the best rose gardens we've seen, and a must-see for any summer visitor to this charming... More
