Lake view

It's a park with flowers . Nice to walk around and look at the lake . The rose garden is nice to walk around . Benches there to sit and look at the lake.

We came upon this park by accident as we ventured along the lakewalk. Immaculate. We may have looked a little foolish taking pictures of roses, but that's what tourists do, right?

Who would have imagined a romantic rose garden rising above the shores of Lake Superior? Someone did, and kudos to them for this beautiful garden full of hardy, short-lived roses planted in beautiful gardens with fountains, a stunning gazebo, and the endless blue-grey of the lake stretching out as far as the eye can see. Charming old trains run from... More

On a beautiful fall day, there is nothing prettier than roses in full bloom, against a fall blue sky with the beauty of Lake Superior in the background. A MUST visit!

Take time to walk through the Rose Garden and the Leif Erikson park. Pull out a blanket and have a picnic in the grassy park bowl area and enjoy the stunning views of the lake. If in the park on a Saturday in the summer, you'll likely be able to see a new wedding happening on the hour every hour... More

We stopped by well after peak rose season but enjoyed strolling the grounds and looking out over Lake Superior. Just a very pleasant place. Must be fabulous throughout the summer. The city and the rose club deserve thanks for maintaining the park.

I found this garden while I was looking for a free place to park so I could run by Lake Superior. It is hidden along the shoreline overlooking the lake and railroad tracks. The views are great for a picnic, it has a public rest room, an amazing granite fountain was moved here as well as another structure that I've... More

This was a great park with a great variety of roses still in bloom the last week end in September. Seriously take the time to stop and smell these roses!

This is really worth a stop. There are beautiful roses of many varieties and the view of Lake Superior is wonderful. It's a great start to a drive up the Northshore. Our out of state relatives enjoyed it!

We didn't expect to see so many blooms visiting at the end of September. There was a wonderful variety of roses, in so many different colors, and the site overlooking Lake Superior was beautiful on an early fall day!
