This is a great ski hill for beginners. If you're looking for a skiing challenge, you won't find it here, but it's a great place to ski with less advanced friends or family and enjoy a cocktail or two in the chalet. Full rental options available and the price was normal for a ski hill (expensive). They offered the Timber... More

Visited Duluth to see our college freshman and decided to visit Spirit Mountain as well. The 60 second tandem zip line was a blast but seeing the leaves on a wonderful fall day was fantastic.

We came for the downhill mountain biking, and it was awesome! The trails are excellent. A day ticket was $20, so very reasonable. They were out of lift tickets at the base so we had to drive up to the top, which was very crowded with people also using the other attractions, like the roller coaster. But once we got... More

This is one of the better places to ski in the upper midwest and is located next to a metropolitan area.

Stopped by Spirit Mountain on our way up the North Shore for a long weekend. Had to try the Timber Twister, Spirit Mountain's mountain coaster. Built in 2010 by the German company, Wiegand, T2 is one of only 14 mountain coasters in the United States, and the only one in the midwest. At 1027 meters in length it's a 3... More

The Alpine Twister was a lot of fun. I'd do that again, but the price is a bit high. The zip lining was ok. Great for little ones. The mini golf is ok.
