Spirit is a great place to go for an extended weekend or even for the day (from the cities). It's definitely my favorite "hill" within 2 hours from the cities! nice ski resort, great tubing and zip line. My teenagers enjoyed the alpine slide/coaster and said it was the best one they had been on.

The ski resort has lots to offer inside the lodge and on the slopes. The view were spectacular. We also tried the adventure park and enjoyed the zip line and alpine roller coaster. One drawback is the small and crowded parking lots, but there was a shuttle bus.

Rode the Timber Twister Alpine Coaster at Spirit Mountain - aka the "luge" ride last summer. Very cool ride- we took our 2 girls, ages 6 and 10 and they loved it. The new additions to Spirit Mountain are awesome. I especially love the alpine slide. And, I'm a huge fan of the resort (I had my wedding reception their). My only complaint is the zipline. This is certainly not a mountain, but it was a wonderful time. There is plenty of room on the hill, but only half of the runs were open and we were there in the middle of winter
