The paved path meandered along the trees and parks next to Lake Superior. You can take it all the way into downtown Duluth. Great views.

Just a few steps away from the great hotels of Canal Park, the lakewalk extends from the Aerial Lift Bridge for several miles along the shore of beautiful Lake Superior. Along the modest grades you'll see native plants and great birch and pine trees, memorials, and the terrific Lief Erickson park, with its viking ship replica, numerous benches, beautiful lake... Beautiful view of Lake Superior. This trail is used by a lot of people but certainly not crowded. Nice paved.

A relaxing place to spend the day with the family. Walk, jog, bike the trail. Kids love to sit on the beach and throw rocks in the water! Restaurants nearby. Not a whole lot else to do.

The Lakewalk is in the Canal Park area and is nicely done. This area includes access to the aerial lift bridge and several nice restaurants. There isn't much to do here (rent a 4-seat quadcycle, eat at the food truck, look at the lake), but it's pretty relaxing and worth a trip if you're looking for something to do.

I decided to break out the inline skates after eight years. As beautiful as this trail is, I would think on that again. It's definitely better for those with more confidence on their feet. Back in the day, I could zoom through here, but time does take its toll. Still a great place for walking or biking.

Beautiful day and the walk was great. The area was kept up very well. Nice little stands for drinks and snacks. Bathrooms were clean.

A wonderful place to spend some time enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Superior, two lighthouses, restaurants and more. There are two paths. The boardwalk is for walkers and the blacktopped path is for bikes, so as a walker you do not have to worry that you will be run over by a biker. There is even a separate path... More

Bikes, strollers, dogs on leashes, and pedestrians coexisted on a six-foot wide wooden walkway that had extended wooden platforms with benches interspersed at regular intervals. A hot dog stand and bike rental added to the places to eat and things to do. A highlight was watching a huge ship go under the raised bridge.
