We enjoyed the 1hr 45 min ride. My daughter enjoyed the retro feel. Nice views of Lake Superior. Short narration of sights.

The worst thing I have ever done!! The sights were awful! I basically got a tour of a town..saw lots of houses, tree's, cars, gas stations, banks, etc... Wish I would have read the reviews!

This trip was a great disappointment. Train left a half hour late, cars were pretty tacky, one car was so hot no one sat in it. Refreshment car was an old baggage car and the only place you could get fresh air. But you had to stand. We took the 6-hr trip to Two Harbors. Two hours (each way) of... More

As someone who enjoys both visiting Duluth and traveling on trains, I found this a painful disappointment. I was hoping for an interesting retro train car; we got a nondescript commuter car straight off a Chicago Metra line (I know, I ride them). Just a few minutes after leaving the station, the train stopped, twice, for several minutes at a... More

This is definitely not for adults. Its slow and boring. I can ride my bike faster than this train. Its really dull. could not hear a lot of commentary because of noise in the train

Our familiy had a wonderful experience on the North Shore Railroad Princess Excursion! They had wonderful Princes and Princesses in full costume and served tpunch and fingerfoods on white linen to make this an experence for our daughter to remember forever! I highly recommend going on either their scenic tour or a speciality experience like we were able to do.... More

That was a fun ride if you went with the experience of Classic engines pulling classic cars I agree not much was scenic other than the Lester river itself but was a very fun experience for a train buff..even for my Brother-in-law & sister in law who have only ridden on " tourist" rides like this enjoyed it. There were... More

It was nice to take a scenic ride on the train after being on our feet all day. We got good views from the window (from the upper deck). Unfortunately, the speakers up there were very difficult to hear the narration about what we were seeing.

It you like seeing dense foliage and residential houses for an unreasonable price, then this is the trip for you. My wife and I took the the 90 tour. On the way there I had to fight not to fall asleep, as it was mostly forests. We did see a deer though... On the way back I played on my... More

Pretty disappointing. Not interesting. Not very scenic as expected. Too expensive for what it is. Goes slowly. Better to take the scenic drive up the shore.
