This is great 3 mile loop hike with views of Lake Superior, and inland hills and lake. The views are the best on the shore, fall colors or spring green-up. This hike is a great mix for all hikers. On the way up, the path zigs and zags up the hill - a nice little workout. The views at the top are stunning and the trail offers a mix of woods and cliffs.

This trail is about as easy of a hike as you can get on the Superior Hiking Trail and still get great views like these.

The loop is a fairly easy hike, about 2 miles, some uphill of course, but well worth it. Great views of Lake Superior and great views of the mountains and some small lakes on the other side. It is a few miles to the trailhead parking area, from 61 take Onion River Road.
