When I first visited Duluth, I got lost and drove down this road in the snow and dark. It is awesome. Coming from the hilltop ypur driving through neighbor hoods by pleasant, pretty houses and through the forest. The road switches back and fourth down the hillside, The forest opens up and there below lies Duluth all lit up and... More

It was winter - besides downhill skiing and snowboarding, we also cross-country skied and tubed. We skipped the alpine slide and the zip-line was closed one day. Great value and fun for everyone in the family.

Skyline Drive is a super ride and great places to stop at overlook sites. Great view of Lake Superior and the town of Duluth below.

Very nice drive with some great views, just doesnt have many pull offs for pictures or to let the driver get a good look. Lots of fun curves for driving, just have to watch for traffic.

This extensive drive skirts the upper edges of Duluth. The scenery is outstanding. It is a bit tricky getting off of the Drive in some places, but well worth a little hunting around. The drive helps you see the extent of Duluth from residential to industrial/shipping.

This is a great drive along the overlooks behind the city. It is several miles long and could easily take a morning or afternoon to complete......especially if you stop at the points of interest along the way. The road is not continuous and there always seems to be some type of construction along the way. A good co-pilot with a... More

We drove the Eastern half of the parkway a few days ago and it is open and worth the drive up there. Duluth still makes it difficult to find the parkway with extremely small and poor signage. Duluth is very hilly and confusing for out of town drivers. Some of the Western part of the parkway is still closed. We found... More

This scenic drive has had so recent flood washouts and the resulting detours can be confusing. We stopped at the Thompson Hill rest area to get the map for this and the person at the desk was able to point out the detour areas and help us around them. Even so, we had to keep a sharp lookout for the... More

This sometimes hard to find road is beautiful any time of the year, but fall is the best! Our family always stops at Enger Tower (the kiddos call it the sniper tower) for some unique views of the city. Pack a picnic and make a day of it!
