We really enjoyed visiting Duluth and Canal Park. We spent most of our time there down at the park going on Boat rides, seeing Superman at the IMAX, the Aquarium, etc. There is all this stuff right by the park to do, next time I will get a hotel closer to the park so we can not get lost getting... more

Seeing the ships come and go in the canal is very interesting to see and the shops and restuarants are fun to walk around and see. There are gulls everywhere and beware, they will try and get food from you. I bought some mini donuts and had one actually swoop down and claw my head - ewww! more

First off, you can't breathe in the ocean air since this is a freshwater lake and the ocean isn't anywhere near. A good place to hang out, watch the ships come through the locks, visit the museum, etc. Lots of antique shops, restaurants, and more on Lake Street, and several nice hotels. more

You gotta love this place, if you don't, than you don't like anything. It's historical, it has breatktaking views, watching the ships come in, the aerial lift bridge, the shops, the restaraunts, the motels, everything in this area is a must see! I have been to Duluth dozens of times and I just can't seem to get enough of the Canal Park. Walking along a body of water so vast and powerful is an emotional experience.
