Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

Charming Shopping area

All kinds of small shops and restaurants. Be sure to stop by the chocolate shop. I promise you won't leave there without buying some.

I've stayed in Canal Park several times, last being March 2015. This is a great little area, about 1 mile total of restaurants, cute shops and the ability to walk to them (if it's nice enough out).

The entire North Shore and Duluth’s Canal Park is a great place to visit and take in the sights and sounds of Lake Superior. Plenty of wonderful places to eat and drink or just take a long walk to Park Point and relax.

Shopping, restaurants, and attractions bring tourist in droves to Canal Park. Especially summer weekends. Most restaurants are chains, so there is better food elsewhere in town. Irvin ship tour and maritime museum are must sees. Museum is free. Vista Fleet is also a nice boat ride. Be sure to check ship schedule and catch an ore boat coming through the... More

Restaurants, shops, bars. It is all here. Best in the summer, but winter is nice and peaceful. you can do it all here, then stroll the lake walk, all on the shores of Lake Superior.

Not much there, really. No great walking trails. Lots of parking spaces and open fields. The beach area is pretty narrow and there hasn't been a lot of development. There's potential, but it will take money and a lot of time.

Okay, maybe not quite. There's no theme park, but there are bunches of hotels, restaurants and shops, easy walking access to attractions like the Vista cruises, the lift bridge, the maritime museum, and others. The Lake Walk runs along the shore of Lake Superior and keeps going way northeast, so if you walk, jog or bike ride, it's perfect. Who... More
