Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

We discovered a new shop, the Duluth Packing Co., that was recommended to us by our brother, and we found a lot of neat things for our summer trips to Isle Royale. There are also fun restaurants, and interesting shops. I was able to pick up a beautiful handmade pair of Swarski crystal pomegranate earrings at the Siivii Art Shop.... More

My wife and I made a short trip to The Great White North to see the Apostle Islands Ice Caves and spent some time sightseeing in Duluth, Mn. also. We walked around Canal Park for about an hour (after all it was still winter) and really enjoyed the sights and sounds of Duluth from this special vantage. All of the... More

Canal park is wonderful in the winter. The parking was free. We walked out on Lake Superior and took some great pictures of the lift bridge and also walked out to the brick ruins near water front. We crawled inside this icy structure and was amazed by the ice formations inside. We wore snow boots and was able to walk... More

Nicest, quietest hotels in Duluth. Great restaurants to choose from, in a wide range of ethnicity. Unique shops and spas. Views and attractions to capture your attention.

Cool, neat area. Shop, visit, stroll, eat. Enjoy the scenery. Summers are best of course.. Friendly people, animal friendly.

Canal park has it all. Dining, hotels, shopping and scenic views. No matter what you like to do, you can probably find something to enjoy in this little stretch of Duluth. There isn't much you can't find, see or do to spend an afternoon or an evening. Great place to sip a cup of coffee and watch the sun come... More

Something fun about Canal Park. We go there every year, and never get tired of it. Try it and you'll do it again. I guarantee.

The views of Lake Superior are great from the Lakewalk and the lighthouse pier. The walk was even clear in late January. There are many restaurants and fun shops in Canal Park too. It is easily walkable. Park your car and enjoy.

Nice park with shops and places to walk around. The obvious centerpiece is the lift bridge that towers above and the ships that pass by. Watched a couple of ships pass by and walked down the pier to the lighthouse and back. Pretty views of the shoreline from the pier. Plenty of dining options for everyone including Grandmas restaurant!! Will... More
