Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

The place to be come summer time

Canal has so much to offer. Very family friendly. Downfall is is can be hard to find parking. But if your able to do that.. You'll have a great time.

Love this area of Duluth. Great place to stop on your way up north or on your back. Cute shops, good beer and food, and the occasional live music!

I grew up in Duluth and I have not been to Canal Park in years. However, it was just how I remembered it. The beautiful scenery, the sounds of the bridge make this a great place to spend your time we'll you are in Duluth. You have to pay for parking spots and lots are limited. However if you are... The museum is free, there's piers to walk out on, you can see ships come through the canal, there's tons of restaurants and places to get drinks at. The view and scene is overall gorgeous. Go in the evening or weekends for free parking. If not the rate is about 2$ an hour so not too bad. -Mike

It seems like the weekend we were here there were all kinds of activities and people. I certainly am planning on visiting again on a weekday

Canal Park is a busy place with many activities going on during the summer. From the food stands to the marine museum and lift bridge, and shops along the avenue.

Spend loads of time here during my visit watching the boats come and go and the Ariel bridge being lifted. Beautiful scenery, loads to see and do or just sit and while away the day

Great scenery, history, light houses, Lake Superior, gift shops, and local businesses. A couple of tips is dress warm as the lake winds cools off the area significantly, and bring quarters as it is either meter parking or prepaid parking lots for the area.

There are lots of things to see and do... Really wanted to do a trolley or carriage ride but ran outta time... Lake views are great, nice visitors center.. Could use more choices for quick food stands... The only one we found was out of everything and very expensive... Restaurants in the area are very busy and spendy too.
