We went on the train ride up to Two Harbors and back, we had a great time and the conductor talked about the area and things to see. I would love to go on the Polar Express ride one year. They have mystery trains too, that sounds like fun.

My family and I visited the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth, Mn. It was awesome! Four floors of exhibits. My 12 year old really enjoyed the trains and the Veterans room. Educational and fun. The woman at the reception desk was very pleasant and informative. We will visit again in the summer.

Went with the Grandkids to see Thomas and tour the museum. Lots of fun things to keep little ones busy! Good time.

"Average" because this same day our family visited the awesome, friend, and educational Maritime Museum for free. This museum sets the tone when you walk by a drinking fountain with an angry, terse sign saying, "The CUPS are only for those physically unable to use the drinking fountain." Next, we had to 'bother' someone so we could pay $12 per... More

$12 for railroad museum and the Depot museums. I enjoyed the section on immigrants and of course the trains. Some you can climb on and go inside. More should be restored on the inside. Also their video was broken when I was there. Nice selection of model trains. Also exhibit of shops and businesses from the early 1900s. No restaurant... More

We had fun in the train museum. Went on the 3 hour Train ride. Wish would have scheduled the day trip up the North Shore. Make sure you schedule way in advance during the fall season. I look forward to doing this again.

We initially went (my husband and I) to the Museum as it houses an art gallery. We wanted to see the paintings on exhibit and also the sculpture. Even though the gallery was nicely done, the art was well done, it just wasn't the style of art we prefer. However....We did thoroughly enjoy the logging exhibit and didn't have enough... More

The Lake Superior Museum is housed in the historic Duluth Depot, which allows them to not only show the rolling stock easily, but to provide historical context, which is pretty cool. For me, the centerpiece of the train exhibit is the impossibly huge Mallet No. 227 engine, which is one of the most powerful steam locomotives ever built. An absurd... More

A very nice Railroad Museum I visited the Museum several years ago and returned this year, mainly for the Scenic Train ride up the shore of lake superior. The museum has a lot of trains inside that you can walk thru and very nice displays. The Train ride was excellent.
