We visited this museum when they hosted "Day Out With Thomas." We have a 2yr old son, and he was much more interested in the exhibits than Thomas. They have a lot of unique trains, and many of them allow people to climb inside and play. There are also many interactive displays. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. This... More

Most trains were closed. The temperatures were stifling. Pavement uneven for those with walking difficulty.

We didn't expect to see all we saw! We are not railroad buffs... Shockingly enjoyed seeing the huge trains up close to touch and some that you can go in. We saw trains that we didn't know existed! All housed in a nice historic Depot.

Large and interesting museum. Large rail level area with many historic train cars, some of which can be be boarded. There are other floors with various exhibits. Plan to spend several hours here. Great place to take children.

We hit up this place on our last day in Duluth. It was very disorganized, stuff scattered all over the place, unfriendly staff, and the bathroom was disgusting!

We cant get enough of this place. If you have any train enthusiasts or anyone interest in the age of steam engine, this is a great place to visit. No air conditioning so it does get warm during the summer!

We visited the museum after our Two Harbors train trip (included in our ticket). Tons of trains from different eras, most you can walk through. Very nice displays. Also, nice touches like all the old stores/buildings that would have been part of a 1900's village.

Loved reading the historical information and being able to see the "giants" of the past. Disappointed that not all exhibits were open.

This is the 2nd year for the princess train at the North Shore Scenic railroad and I brought my 3 year old grand daughter. We noshed on crumpets, lemonade, gogurt, and iced cupcakes, while we were visited by the lovely Belle, Ariel, Snow White, and Rapunzel (with pascal). My grand daughter made new friends (Reily and Beta), made a princess wand,... More
