You simply cannot go wrong here. The movies are always first rate. In the years we have gone there we can honestly say we have never been disappointed. The Heights has been serving the twin cities since 1926 and has been RESTORED not renovated!! On Friday and Saturday nights an organ rises up from the orchestra pit and one of... More

We have seen a few movies here. Totally impressed with the organist. Good location, atmosphere, and comfortable seating with leg room! Can't say enough good things - go and enjoy. When done, grab a Dairy Queen right outside the door. Highly recommend this facility.

Great service and first rate movies. Places is unique and comfortable to watch a movie. Popcorn is relatively inexpensive and tasty.

A perfect film of a aged Holmes with memory problem trying to piece together the disturbing case that made him retire 35 years ago, beautifully played by Ian McClellan with housekeeper Laura Linney, is in complete harmony with the vintage theater. The facility is lovely, tastefully restored but if pluses like the fantastic organ and organist subbing for coming attractions. Go... More

Hadn't been to this theater since i was a kid--over 50 years ago! It's a beautiful old theater. The concession stand is small but it has everything you need. You purchase your ticket and buy your popcorn at the same counter and you don't have long lines of people buying tickets to ten different movies. They shows one or two... More

I've enjoyed the Heights Theatre since it cost 25 cents to see a movie - probably my first boy girl date was there, shared popcorn with all my girlfriends & have seen many Elvis movies there & had taken my daughter to see her first movie there when she was a baby! Our CHHS class included this town icon as... More

We went to a movie here in May. Saw the organ but no one was playing it that afternoon. Still a beautiful restored theater and the Dairy Queen is still next door with a patio between that and the theater,.

The Heights is unique and a wonderful place to go for a movie! Get tickets ahead for one of the old movies or for more recent flicks.

Very interesting experience. This theater has been in continuous operation since the 1920s. We went on a Saturday night. There was a live organist playing before the movie. Actual curtains over the screen. Totally modernized sound and screen. The screen is a bit smaller than the standard theaters, but I didn't think it distracted from the experience. Locally pooped popcorn... More
