My wife and I recently visited the Arboretum and spent around 4 hours strolling through the most exotic and diverse collection of flowers, herbs, shrubs, and trees either of us had ever seen! It was like touring vegetation one would normally have to travel the world to experience. We meandered through the gardens then walked the ~3-mile loop past the... More

Just had to view the Legos on display this summer, but the grounds are beautiful any season of the year. The Lego displays are placed around the grounds and part of the fun is searching for them and discovering so many other beautiful flowers, plants and trees. Admission discounts available through online sources. Healthy lunch options available onsite. Plus great... More

This place should be renamed the MN Landscape Arboretum & Gardens, etc. Absolutely something for everyone. It's only about a 30 - 40 minute drive from downtown Minneapolis and worth the drive. It's easy to find on Hwy 5. There is an entrance fee but there is no additional charge for parking. There are numerous gardens around the visitor's center,... More

It doesn't really matter what time of year you go, you'll see beautiful and well-kept flowers. If it wasn't a 30 minute drive for me, I would get the very reasonable season pass since the landscape changes throughout the whole year. You can spend an hour here or 5. Be aware that you'll probably feel a little bad about your... More

Had a lovely time walking around the gardens, there are amazing flower displays and different types of gardens to see, rose garden, herbs etc. You can also walk around a huge lake or take a long walk through the woods, but beware of the bugs when its hot. They also had a number of beautiful Lego sculptures which you can... More

We have come here during three seasons of the year; spring, summer and fall. In addition to the perennial gardens, we enjoy the displays relevant to each particular season. The fall displays are especially creative with the large variety of pumpkins, gourds, squash and Halloween decorations. This is a great place to educate yourself on the many varieties of trees,... This is a beautifully landscaped and manicured garden located on the western edge of the Twin Cities. With its Japanese garden, rose garden, waterfalls, koi pond and other settings, it is quiet, peaceful and just a beautiful place to get away from it all for a few hours. They are currently featuring a series of Lego sculptures that are well... More

We have purchased an annual pass for the Arboretum for a number of years now. Our kids enjoy going and they have some fun special events throughout the year. Each summer they have a special theme and attractions spread around the park. This year's Lego theme was great! If you have kids make sure they visit the maze of hedges... More

This is a wonderful, public garden space for you to wander. Annual and perennial gardens, specimen gardens, a scenic drive, they host many events and you can always find something you didn't know we had here in Minnesota. Beautiful day for locals and tourists alike. I switched phones, I will upload some photos when I can find them!

The Arboretum is a great place to go when you want to get away from it all and lose yourself in nature. My wife and I regularly go there for secluded picnics. Most of the arboretum's visitors come on the weekends. It is much quieter on the week days. If you are planning on a picnic or want to more... More
