Nice casino but getting run down

New machines since I was there a year ago. Never very crowded so good choice of slots available. However, the infrastructure is getting very run down. Filthy carpeting, and old... read more

Waiting in line for an hour for some authentic Northern MN foods, I discover, after paying, that there are no vegetarian dinner entrees-- only side items here and there like mashed potatoes and fruits. Upon being seated, we wait around confused while nobody tells us what to do and have to flag down a server. Then, the dirty plates are... More

New machines since I was there a year ago. Never very crowded so good choice of slots available. However, the infrastructure is getting very run down. Filthy carpeting, and old and dirty chairs in the lobby area. They need to spend some money on cleaning as the overall impression made me not even consider the restaurant for lunch.

Slow on check in, we stayed in the older part of the hotel. Rooms were good. Food was over priced and we found ourselves going out for pizza. The pool was great, too big for little ones. We did enjoy wandering and looking at the building.

Stopped in for the fun, last night of a 5 day motorcycle trip. Glad we did, gaming floor was well situated and lit so we could actually keep from getting lost or losing our friends. Will definitely go back. Glad we stopped

A very nice casino with lot's of machines to play. It is located south of Duluth, Minnesota right on Interstate 35. A awesome buffet with very good food and good service.

We stayed at your hotel last weekend as a get away for our anniversary and found babysitters for the weekend. We arrived Friday night and found our room clean. I had read reviews about the dated decor and stains on the carpet. And we have a limited amount of money we can spend on fun so the room was cheaper... More

Machines are tight. Casino is Very smokey. Waited 45 min for a slot tech to retrieve my $20 that the machine ate but gave me no credits, Apparently they were all on break.

Unfortunately, the casino staff at Black Bear are far from polite and lack integrity. Everything from the rude remarks of the blackjack dealers to the near stalking of the security staff left me and the eleven guests that were in my company far from pleased. The treatment my guests and I experienced at Black Bear was appalling and uncalled for,... More

Hate going to dingy, smoke-filled casinos where every breath is like licking an ashtray. The Black Bear was pretty good in that regard. Huge assortment of slots, mostly penny slots (though as I found out you can bet and lose a lot of money quickly on penny slots!) and some video poker. Craps and poker tables but most of the... More
