Quite a challenging course for the average golfer; well kept and lovely views. Take a few golf balls as the rough can be a little punishing.

Superb views from higher tees and fairways. Some of the holes though need to be previewed as a lot are blind and you can get into trouble easily. Lots of sloping fairways, ball above or below your feet a lot and much aiming away from target to allow for slope.

The hall and the grounds are magnificent. The health spa is also nice. The coffee/bar area was not that great. Everything we asked for they didn't have. Dinner not great, tasted like microwave dishes. Breakfast was much better cooked breakfast buffet. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was very noicey, sounded like they had night... More

Spent a couple of days with a group of 12 friends, playing the course. The course is extremely demanding physically, & a tough test of your golfing ability. The condition of the main part of the course, the fairways, tee beds etc, were very well maintained. Unfortunately, I could not say that for the greens. I had read previous reports... More

Under staffed - and those that are there could be more enthusiastic and helpful. Overall: room for improvement.

Tired and in need of some TLC, bedrooms and conference suite. Internet signal very poor. Not good value for money.

Firstly Tim the golf director was extremely helpful The holes ranged from fairly straightforward to horrendously difficult which is what you want and was in very good condition considering the weather will come again asap

This review covers 2 nights. We arrived only to be put into a room that overlooked the air extraction vets for the swimming pool and a yard. The room smelt of chlorine and was also small dark and dingey, I asked for a room change so we were then put into a room that had scaffolding outside so workmen could... More

Played on a Sunday afternoon on a hotel golf break. The course was in good condition considering the amount of rain that had fallen in the previous 24 hours. They do not use temporary greens in the winter. It is a good challenge but with a lot of walking between some of the holes and quite hilly. Best to hire... More
