The beauty of nature was very evident even though it was early spring and the trees hadn't woken from the winter sleep. I have also visited in the summer and it is beautiful. I highly recommend it for a quiet stroll or just to sit and enjoy all that nature has to offer!

Late one afternoon, my husband and I walked at the Normandale Japanese Garden. At the gate, we were unoffficially greeted by a large turtle which had crept away from the garden's pond. Having been to many Japanese gardens over the years, this one offered solitude, a nice pagoda, and a pleasant walking path. It provided a good spot to need... More

This Japanese Garden is very beautiful and quite tucked away inside the campus of Normandale college next to student center. Beautiful willow trees and architecture with bridges and pond.

This well tended formal Japanese style garden is directly behind the main building at Normandale Community College. Plenty of free parking spaces are nearby. Birds abound and lots of large coy fish are in the lake. Plantings are mature with substantial blooms in the summer. Pagodas, rock gardens and traditional bridges decorate the islands and walkways around the lake. Go... More

It is just a garden with an Asian slant. Stop by if you are passing but don't make a special trip for this. I live a couple blocks away.

This a quaint Japanese garden. It has the requisite stream, waterfall (turned off for the winter) and pond. There are multiple bridges including an arched kinda-sorta-drum bridge. If you are a shutterbug, you can easily kill an hour, otherwise half-an-hour is plenty. It is not spectacular, you won't think you magically ended up in Japan ~ but the Japanese influence... More

The gardens are beautiful. Well maintained and serene. Spent about an hour enjoying the scenery. Very cool that gardens are on a campus.

I've visited several times and always enjoy the garden. Usually only a few other people there, so it is serene and very beautiful. Nice to watch the koi and turtles in the pond and relax.
