Visited for wedding pictures and it is a fantastic spot for photos. Also good for visiting to admire and meditate.

Tucked behind Normandale College you will experience peace & tranquility in the beautiful Japanese Garden. This is a lovely place to visit and spend some time. Often enjoyed by the students of the college, the garden is open to the public (except when it is reserved for private functions). This little well-manicured beauty is definitely worth the trip!

If you are looking for something simple to do check out the Normandale Japanese Garden. This a small, quaint, yet peaceful garden. Considering the location close to a major road you really do not get a lot of noise. You can easily spend a good 45 minutes here just walking around and sitting at one of the many benches that... This is a lovely quiet park. Sometimes the students study in the garden. It is clean and well cared for. My husband and I loved it so much we got married here.

high esthetic value, very well designed, very Japanese in sensibility. Definitely worth a 30 to 45 minute visit

I have been to a few other Japanese Gardens, but this is the real deal. Check out their website for details: http://www.normandale.edu/JapaneseGarden/index.cfm Very authentic, and FREE! (Unless you want to do professional pics or weddings or other events.) Very relaxing place to walk around. It is mostly accessible, but there are some areas of the garden that are not wheelchair... This is a small, enclosed garden on the campus of Normandale College. It's a nice place to relax for an hour. There is a partially open shelter to escape from the sun and wind. Not particularly good for very small children as there are several water features to fall in. Older children could appreciate it. Paths are crushed gravel, a... More

This is a fun, free, and peaceful garden attached to Normandale Community College. It's a little hard to find, park next to the building on the North west side and follow the sidewalk east toward France Avenue.

Living in this metro area it is nice to explore new areas and this is definately worth a trip. If you are from out of town and on a short visit this wouldn't be on my list as there are better things to do. I have been to the teahouse at Golden Gate Park in San Fran and this isn't... More
