Don't get me wrong, Indianhead has a lot to offer, they just need to update things. We recently went skiing for 3 days. We had done Indianhead before so we thought we'd try Big Powderhorn first to compare. We had a good time at both, but decided that BP had more comfortable (beautiful lodge, nice staff). We would have skied... More

Our family group of 18 had a great day! Got there at 8:30 and that seemed just early enough to beat the rush on a Sunday. Our little ones had a great 1/2 day at the "Kinderschule" which is a daycare/ski school, the lady running it was extremely nice and comforting to the preschool-kindergarten age kids (even borrowing a scarf... Haven't been here in ages but wanted to mention that it was one of our families best skiing areas back in the late 60's! great area for vacationing too. If you like snow it's great! And a lot of good fishing, camp sites and even a few old mines in the area to visit in the summer months!

Very disappointed in our last trip to Indianhead. Trails where not groomed well and staff very unfriendly. The lady that runs the ski school never smiles and is unfriendly. To top it off we went on the day they had the survival of the fittest contest. Poor advertisement only 5 participants. They where giving away a ski pass you'd think... More

We had a magical time at Boule de Neige at Powderhorn Village...blessed with the foot of snow that arrived with us on Dec. 20th, 2012. A little disappointed only 3 runs were opened but we paid 1/2 the lift ticket price. Next day went to Indian Head to ski, they had 13 runs opened. Overall nice place to stay. If... More

Indianhead provides the best skiing option for the Michigan and Wisconsin area with long, well groomed runs and the best vertical drop in the area. We skied the last Monday in January. The snow and weather were picture perfect. The rental equipment is in fair condition, but their staff was excellent - willing to help in any way they could... More

I came to Indianhead because they have nice long runs and challenging terrain for the area. Well we came on a Friday before Martin Luther King Weekend. It was $50 for a lift ticket. The problem was they only had two chair lifts running so we had limited access to the runs. There was snow on all the runs, but... More

This is a nice little ski hill, especially for learning. However, it seems like most of the people we dealt with who worked there were pretty grumpy. The lady who got us our passes never smiled, and was super unhelpful. After skiing we went to get a beer in the Sky Bar. While sitting there, we were treated to a... More

Enjoyed a long weekend in Michigan and spent two days skiing at this resort. Overall I was pleased with the quality of the runs. The snow was well manicured and the staff was friendly. We checked our kids into the day long ski school and they enjoyed the experience. Indianhead was one of the few resorts in the area that... More

There are MANY great ski hills in the U.P., and one of them is Indianhead. The ski instructors are friendly, the ski patrol are kind, and the people working the small cafeteria are helpful and fun! As for the skiing, conditions tend to be nice for people that are at least of an intermediate level- beginniners might find the snow... More
