My Wife and I saw "Birdman" and were VERY impressed by the theatre itself, the amazing volunteers who staff it, the concessions, and the experience as a whole. Michael Moore should get some sort of award for making this such a perfect place to see movies and re-visit a historical location.

Large screen, balcony seating, stars of the Northern sky on ceiling, extra large seats, very pleasant volunteers that make going to a movie there extremely pleasant. A real gem thanks to the innovational thinking on the part of Michael Moore.

Take in a movie at the classes State Theater in TC. This large auditorium is a great place to see a film on a large screen. The popcorn and candy prices are very reasonable too.

This awesome, restored theater is worth a second and third look. It's absolutely beautiful inside. It's worth buying a ticket just to see the theater. Every seat is a good seat. The screen is enormous. It takes you back to glory days of cinema.

Love this place. Every week they show free movies, often with a live or Skype interview afterwards. The popcorn is cheap and delicious ($2), the theater gorgeous, the people friendly and they have FREE MOVIES. What's not to like? We have seen things we wouldn't ordinarily have gone to and it's stretched us. What a gem this place is.

Staff was friendly; loved the balcony - like a step back in time. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the free popcorn, and quality movie experience.

Went here to see Young Frankenstein after visiting a few Traverse City night spots. Very nice theater, reasonable prices at the concession stand (when was the last time you heard that?!), and a fantastic theater for seeing a movie. If I lived in TC I would be a regular here!
