There are a great variety of stores on Front Street and we munched on home made fudge while strolling up and down the street! We enjoyed stores with art as well as clothing and one of a kind articles. Looking forward to going back!

The Front Street area in Traverse City is really a great place to stroll, check out the windows and step into adventures in the pubs, shops and info areas. The ice sculptures are amazing. For New Years, despite the cold, many stores were open, lots of folks, well behaved, walking about and a good time being had by all. While... More

Front Street is always a beautiful place to visit, but at Christmas, it was magical; frozen carved ice sculptures on the sidewalks, bright lights, and the huge Christmas tree!!

Many interesting shops and food stops. Especially pretty during the winter, not so busy, yet very small town feeling.

One of the most successful downtown's in the entire State of Michigan. The shops are a cornucopia of unique and diverse choices. Stroll Front Street and you will find shops to delight and intrigue you. It is all there and the prices are affordable, the quality is great, and the offerings are such that you don't very often see the... More

The down town Traverse City area is comprised of retail and great restaurants. The State Theatre is a must stop and see one of the great movies being screened. Horizon Books is Traverse City's landmark independent bookstore.

We live in TC and are so happy to have such a vibrant downtown. There is a variety of great restaurants for a quick meal or a nice dinner; shops including men's and women's clothing to tee shirts and specialty food stores. It is extremely busy in summer but check it out during the winter months, you can leisurely stroll... More

Traverse City was named the best city to go for fun. Summer, winter, fall, spring something is going on. And when nothing is going on there is still more to do. Walking, hiking, skiing, swimming, parasailing, canoeing kayaking, sailing, power boating. Inland lakes, the bays, Lake Michigan. High end and low end dining. And finally the State Theater.

Great shops, restaurants, and bars. Enjoy a movie at the historic State Theatre or live entertainment at the Traverse City Opera House. Walk over to the Grand Traverse Bay for a beautiful view.
