Front Street is a nice "old town" style main street that is walkable and has a # of nice shops and restaurants. It is fine for families, couples or singles. I like Petoskey a bit better for "charm" and slightly nicer shops, but TC is 2nd in my estimation. More

We very much enjoyed walking downtown Front street and visiting the shops and window shopping, for the most part. It's very cutsey and enjoyable to spend time. Also the Clinch Park is nearby so you can walk out to the pier and near the beach. Wonderful getaway! More

Front street is the heart of Traverse City and worth a trip if in the area. There are a variety of stores and restaurants. You get a beautiful view of the bay and the boardman river. Great place to spend a few hours. More

They had a great band and the place was full. It was pretty small so needless to say it was very crowded. More

A really "alive" downtown. At 9pm on Friday night, you have to go one street over to park because there are so many people downtown (and there's a great parking deck 1/2 block away). You won't go wrong with any of the restaurants on Front St (and Cass and Union, the two cross streets). Nice clothing stores, nice gift stores,... More

We love the one-way street, the off-street parking. The shops are always interesting, with some very good deals, lots of places to eat and grab a cuppa. We love Espresso Bay, Amicale, Opera House. Very close to lots of hotels, nicely treed and beautifully lit in the Holiday Season. We return every month or so. More

A trip to TC (Traverse City) wouldn't be complete with a stroll through downtown. It is one of the best downtowns in which to spend time browsing through stores. If you can't parallel park, the parking garage on the east end is a great option. Some stores will even validate your parking. Otherwise there are lots one block off of... More
