There is nearly a never-ending list of wonderful restaurants and bistro's to stop in and have a snack, drink and or a meal. Lively and fun vibe.

Front Street is definitely a must visit area of Traverse City, especially if you like to shop and or eat. Front Street spans a good portion of the waterfront in Downtown Traverse City, with a about a four block span dedicated to the "Front Street District". Within this area you will find shopping, entertainment, as well as places to grab... More

Be sure to have quarters for the parking meters and here's a well kept secret - Push the button on the meter to receive 30 minutes free parking!

Poppycock's for lunch is my favorite! Several great shops for fashion! What to Wear is one of my favorites. Also, check out Haystacks! The unique style is comfortable, reversible and great colors.

Love walking down Front Street, almost every weekend in the Summer you'll find something going on from Art Exhibits to sidewalk sales. Many great places to stop for a bite, or a drink.

Front Street was like the main shopping area with all the shops, restaurants, & theatre. It's a nice walk!

A great place for a long pleasant stroll. There are many great shops and restaurants. Monentum Outfitters has many sales on clothing. Many ice cream and treat stores.

Traverse city has really grown since we were there about 10 years ago. What impressed me was that Front Street is filled with a wide selection of upscale shops. There wasn't one t-shirt shop on the street. The city has great restaurants and an abundance of things to do and see. We only spent two days there, but we could... More

Fun shopping. Cherry everything. If you are a foodie (or semi-foodie) check out Fustini's oils and vinegars. Drinks at U & I. Wish I could remember the name of the cupcake place.

I almost gave up since I couldn't find a parking space, but persevered and found a great spot. It's metered with a 2 hour limit. There were some lots asking $10, but the meters are much less expensive. We enjoyed walking through the shops and purchased some souvenirs here. We tried the cherry jam and cherry salsa. I loved the... More
