This is a must if you're in Traverse City, especially if the weather is nice. Every king of shop and shopping you can imagine. It is definitely that small town old style feel. Restaurants, bars, snack, treats, and traditional shopping.

Front Street in Traverse City has lots of places to shop, eat, and have drinks. My favorite places are the Horizon Book Store and the State Theater. I love the architecture of the older buildings. This is the downtown of Traverse City. It is a great place to find unique shops, eateries and coffee bars! They even have an old school movie theater! A quaint place to go and enjoy and the view of the lake is right before you reach Front Street which is always a beautiful view!

Front street has a wonderful spice/tea store called spice merchants. Mackinaw Brewing is a great place to eat and socialize - they now have great BBQ.

There are many fun shops, restaurants, and sites along Front Street. Definitely recommend stopping there for supper.

park in the parking garage - best deal! Lots of great restaurants and the shopping is very touristy. Visit Clinch Park and watch the sunset

We also went to a lovely filled to capacity xmas eve service here as they often open up the theater to community events. Run largely by volunteers, this place is a gem that film director Michael Moore brought back to... More
