When I coached golf I would take the girls golf team to Traverse City to play in the TCCHS Invitational. The girls always looked forward to playing this golf course. It was not unusual for deer or turkeys or other native animals to walk across the course during play. The course offered magnificent views and challenging golf. What more could... More

What a pleasant and challenging round of golf right in the heart of Traverse City. It is a shorter course just under 6000 yards from the blue tees. The holes require accurate shots but it is playable. One of my all time favorite holes is on this course - the 13th downhill dogleg par 5. You can see the bay... More

Our family like Elmbrook. It's certainly not a big challenge as many of the holes are 'half pipes'. Slices can end up back in the fairway. We've also liked the fact that they have junior tees and are very young golfer friendly.

Stopped and played Elmbrook on my way to meet friends. The course was in nice condition. It measures 6,021-yards from the longest tees. It is par 72 with four sets of tees. Sand bunkers on some holes, water on only 3 holes. For what you get I felt it overpriced based on other courses in the area.

Elmbrook is a pretty easy golf course. They keep it in good shape and don't charge alot. But what I really respect is the junior tees. They are very open to young golfers learning the game.

Back nine is really pretty...front nine, not so much but a good value and worth playing. Everyone is friendly, nice place to eat....fun inexpensive course.

Check out the sand traps on hole #3, shaped like the great lakes. Accommodating staff and a well kept area.

A fun, but challenging course. My wife and I scrambled and didn't care what our score was. The view of Traverse Bay is worth the green fees.

This is a nice course that is fun to play. Low key easy to get tee times and nice little bar when the round is over.

If you are traveling for golf, given all the great gold courses in northern Michigan don't waste your time on this one. By today's standards, this is not a very good course.
