The children will love this lovely little museum. It gets crowded on a bad weather day and why shouldn't it. When you can't take the kids to the beach, take them to this darling little museum, you won't be disappointed. It's really good for preschoolers.

This is a very entertaining place for kids of various ages, though it feels more like an elaborate play center than a museum per say. There is an area to climb up through clear tunnels and go down a slide, various things to climb on, a ship with interactive video to show how it is to steer the ship, a... More

This place is adorable. Our little girl loved it. She could climb, play in the water table, make art, etc. The staff was great. My one complaint was that some of the parents were not paying close enough attention to their children. They saw it as a break for them instead of an interactive experience for them to enjoy with... I brought my boys here expecting a bit of educational fun. It would have been more educational if there was a person to talk about what the play areas represented. Parents are able to do this but not all can explain certain things without previous knowledge. The toys were fun, and the boys were occupied. In my opinion it is... More

I was a tad disappointed. I enjoy taking my children to age appropriate museums for them to take in and learn from. However, this is a small indoor play area (slide, tunnel, dress up, ship). I was expecting more. As we had been to several major city children's museums and they had much more to do and see. We went... More

My daughter at 7 years old still asks to visit although I think she has outgrown their displays. They are the same year after year although that familiarity is what the children enjoy, like a much read children's book. It is an excellent young children's museum with much to learn and do.

We took our young children here and they had a blast. Although, not really a "museum" it has lot of interesting feats that will really entertain young children. Very good place if you need to burn a few hours...or burn off the kids' energy! Located not too far away it was worth the time and money for young kids.

We brought our 2 1\2 year old for the first time and he loved it. Great place to go when visiting TC in the non-summer months. There are various things to do, that for a first trip 2-3 hours is a good time frame.

As my son was young enough that a real museum is a little too boring, this place was perfect. He loved running around and climbing all over everything. We have since been to two other children's museums (GR and Norwalk, CT), and I would say that although this is smaller than the other two, this one is much more "condensed".... More

The Great Lakes Children's Museum is a great place for toddlers and preschoolers to have safe, indoor fun, get some wiggles out, and play with toys/stations that have potentially some educational output (that would really be dependent on how much the parent is involved). A smaller-than-expected building opened into a large room with various features. Our crawler had fun in... More
