Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Great wines. They offered a large variety for tasting. The price for the tasting was very reasonable. We enjoyed the short tour (free). Great setting and plenty of seating outside if you want to sit and enjoy a glass of wine..

This vineyard has a beautiful view and grounds. A nice gift shop and a great selection of wines to sample and purchase. Restrooms are available. You can purchase a glass of wine and sit outside on their lovely patio. Prices of wines range from $6.00 to $40.00 or more. Tastings are not reasonably priced. There is no food for purchase.... More

While there was about a 15 min wait for the line on a Saturday afternoon, I found it well organized and service very good. The $3 wine tasting was one of the cheaper wineries for 6 samples. For the reserved selections, it is $5. You can use the $3 towards the purchase. The facility was clean, well lite, new, very... More

We visited them in mid July right after the cherry festival concluded. It was a rainy day so we had to look for indoor activities. Many others also had the same idea. We waited in line for maybe 20 minutes before making it to the head of the line. One of the staff was processing tasting choices as we waited in line.... More

The view and wine room were beautiful. The wine fabulous. Our server almost totally ignored me. She was knowledgeable as she had great conversation with the ladies next to me, wish she would have shared that with me.

The drive from Traverse City to this place should be one of the reasons you should go here. You get to see the whole traverse bay and go through the narrow curves and turns as the wind blows through you. After reading couple of negative reviews I still wanted to try the place. The reason we did that was the... More

This winery has a beautiful tasting area with a gorgeous view. They charge a small fee for 6 samples, but the fee is applied to any purchase that you make afterwards. The wine was awesome, reasonable priced and had several versions that incorporated the fruit that the regions is known for - the cherry. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit as... More

This was one of our 7 stops on a chauffeured wine tour (myself & future daughter-in-law). We were told they just redid their tasting room. Wow, really?!! What a waste of time. Apparently they moved their bar from the side of the room to the back. We waited in line for 20 minutes to finally be escorted to this enormous... More

We stopped by here knowing this was the winery that started things on the peninsula. We walked in and were shown to a line. It was odd as they have a big tasting room but a small tasting bar. Their focus was more on merchandise than wine tasting it seems. We waited for a little while in line and finally... More

Chateau Grand Traverse has an awesome late harvest Riesling and some other nice wines to sample. I recommend taking the wine tour, which is free and interesting. Also, there is a beautiful view behind the winery.
