We enjoyed their wines, but the Ship of Fools was by far our favorite. Beware the tasting room is under construction so be patient while you wait. Can not wait to see the new room! Congrats on being open 40 years!

This property looks prosperous, as does most of the "peninsula". We stopped in after a hot afternoon in early August at the lighthouse and rocky beach at the 45th Parallel. The winery sales room is beautiful, clean and modern. Unfortunately, there were a few old smokers from a tour bus outside on the patio smelling up the joint - GROSS!... More

This was our first stop of the wineries and it was A great start to the trip. The tour was very informational, interesting and free! They give you six free tastings which were all very good. We regret not buying more bottles!

Line was by far the longest of any of the 8 wineries we visited that Saturday. Took about 45 minutes to get through but overall I can't complain since it was also the only free wine tasting.

Justin, thank you for taking time to review your experience at Chateau Grand Traverse. I'm sorry to hear that you had to wait so long - October is definitely our busiest time of year, as you learned. We are currently working on addressing the issue with a complete tasting room overhaul: including an outdoor patio to accommodate our guests. We... More

We stopped in on our Mission Peninsula tour. We almost missed the turn as it's at the top of a hill, but glad we were able to locate. The tasting room is really well done, and the staff is really attentive. It was quite busy as lots of people had stopped for their 6 samples. We ended up with one... More

This place was one of the best wineries we stopped at. You get six pours for free, they have preserves and mustard to sample, and you can embark on a winery tour - all for free. This was a great place with an excellent view!

I had been wine-tasting in Michigan once before and the experience was, well, underwhelming, at least compared to what I've come to expect from Washington, Oregon, and California wines (I really like wine and so almost never spit any out after tasting, but I made several exceptions on the first Michigan trip, especially the reds). So my wife and I... More

Six pours for free! You can't beat that and they have great Rieslings. The view from the back of the property is outstanding. Best gift shop on the peninsula. We have had nothing but pleasant experiences at this winery. Don't miss out...stop and enjoy!

The inn was a great experience. Our room was big and comfortable. You get a bottle of wine with the room which was very nice especially when enjoyed throughout the beautiful house. Breakfast was good and overall was a very good experience. We would certainly return. The only negative of our stay was that we heard the people in the... More

The views of Traverse Bay, are breathtaking. My favorite wine is the late Harvest Reisling. They have a bed and breakfast with room for 6 couples, a pool table, a sauna, a relaxation room and a breakfast room. This is one of my favorite vacation spots in Michigan.
