Not only is this place ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL with awesome views of the bay on each side, the building is beautiful inside too. The staff take time to answer questions and make suggestions. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff helped me carry my purchase to my car. Loved it.

The beautiful view is worth the room. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine, wine glasses, and chocolates. Exploring the winery was especially fun. Accommodations were so great.

We have loved this winery for several years...but just enjoyed a tremendous chefs wine dinner this trip to Traverse City. Wonderful staff, food, wine, and fun table mates made for a memorable evening. And the setting is gorgeous with views of both the East and West sides of grand traverse bay! In the past we've enjoyed tastings but really loved... More

Our host was distracted. The wines were ok, but not outstanding. We didn't buy any. I probably wouldn't go back.

Hello, Thank you for notifying us of a distracted server. We certainly can be very busy at times trying to minimize the wait time at our busy tasting bar. For those that don't want to wait, we do also offer wines by the glass which typically doesn't have a line. We offer two outdoor patios with amazing views of Grand... More

I visited with two friends after hearing recommendations that this winery had the best view in the Traverse area. We were not disappointed! The views over the vineyard and bay were gorgeous. We stopped in to do a tasting; Zach, who helped us, was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines. We enjoyed all the different wines we tried (the... More

My husband and I have attended 5 of the wine-pairing dinners offered at Chateau Chantal (4 in the summer and 1 on Mother's Day) - all have been a truly wonderful experience. Mike DuBois, who hosts the events, is a dynamic speaker and is incredibly knowledgable about the wines, the surrounding area and the history of Chateau Chantal. A 6-course... More

Hello, Thank you kindly for taking the time to provide us with a great review, we're so pleased you enjoyed the pairings dinners. I've already shared this with Mike, he appreciated your compliments. We're just putting the finishing touches on a new menu for this summer - Wine Pairing Dinners start June 17 and run through October. Always a new... More

This winery seems to focus on high production and not on quality. Huge groups come through here and there is a long line to get to a tasting table and a long line to get a glass poured. They don't allow you to buy a bottle to drink on the patio, only glasses, which is unfortunate. The view here is... More

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. Our customer experience is extremely important to us, and it appears we've failed you and your guests. We do see a plethora of groups coming though our door, and try our best to accommodate them at a separate bar so as not to disturb the remaining guests.... More

This winery definitely has the best views of the Peninsula and Lake, and outdoor seating is available. We enjoyed the tastings, which were $3 for 5 pours (refunded if you buy a bottle!). We also took advantage of purchasing the tasting glasses for $2.50 each.
