Left foot Charley, located in the old state mental facility-the Commons- became our favorite winery in the TC area since our first visit there about 2005. Staff was very knowledgable and always made time to tell you about their products. they started out giving free tastings for several years but in the last couple years have been charging $5 to... The gals from work like to get together here every now & again and we always have a great time. The patio is a great ambiance but so is being bellied up to the bar. The cinnamon girl cider is my favorite. More

We went in and didn't want to do the tasting; otherwise there wasn't much to do there. So we stayed only a few minutes. They don't have regular tours; I guess you have to make an appointment ahead of time. Not impressed. but we didn't try the wine. More

Left Foot Charley is one of the closest wineries to downtown so it is a very easy stop. It sits on the grounds of the old state hospital, now called the commons, which is worth a visit on its own. They make some great local wine! More

We've been meaning to try Left Foot Charley's for quite awhile. Once we did we can understand why all of our friends love the place. Excellent wines with pleasant, knowledgeable staff and a unique atmosphere all working together. The day we were there it was a bit noisy, however, not at all enough to be annoying. The "loose wine" is... More

The only bad part about our experience here was that I don't remember the names of the two young dudes who helped make our Friday afternoon awesome. One round of wines and ciders, soft pretzels, and tickets to the Microbrew Fest. It was so easy to relax and have a lot of laughs sitting at the bar looking out at... More

You have got to make a point to go here, even if you don't live here, it's worth the drive - excellent wines and AWESOME cider (I personally love "Cinnamon Girl" with the Ploughman's platter (came with meat, cheese, bread, pistachios, and olives - YUM!) More

Great for groups, parties (had a going away party here). Cinnamon Girl hard cider is the only reason you need to come here. On Thursdays they have a dinner special - $12 for a plate and wine/cider (GREAT deal). Each week the meal is a different cultural dish. I've been there for a curried dish, fish tacos, and something Turkish... More
