Grand Traverse Distillery uses locally grown corn, wheat and rye to distill its spirits. We offer True North Vodka (rye based), a Wheat Vodka, Cherry Flavored Vodka and a Chocolate Infused Vodka. As for whiskey we have Ole George, a 100% Straight Rye Whiskey, Bourbon, 100% Corn Whiskey and our 125 Proof Michigan Whiskey that is sold with mini barrels so a customer can come in and we will custom blend their whiskey at 125 proof then they age the whiskey at home in their barrel. These products are available for sale in the distillery retail rooms. We have two in Traverse City. The first is at our distillery and the second is in a shared tasting room with Black Star Farms in the Grand Traverse Commons. WE also have a seasonal tasting room in Leland and soon to open a new tasting room in Frankenmuth. Our vodka products are found in over 1200 retail accounts in Michigan. We are also available in the Chicago area, Colorado. Our sampling and sales room is open Monday through Saturday 11-am to 5-pm and on Thursdays through Saturdays from 11-am to 5-pm we give customers who stop in tours through the distillery. Come in and visit us for a sample of our award winning spirits.

The staff were VERY nice and gave us a lot of information. We learned a great deal from our tour guide. They give you samples of 4 vodkas and 3 whiskey's and the tour guide told us a lot about each of them. We were very pleased with our experience.

Ok, not much a Vodka drinker...BUT Wow is the True North amazing! How cool is that; the distillery in Traverse City and a lot of people just never knew during their visit, so stop in and sample + Take Home!

We saw the sign while driving along the bay, and decided to pull in. The location is a little hard to find, but well worth the time, the distillery is small and unassuming form the outside, but they are making some of the best spirits I have EVER had! The tour was very informative and all questions about the process were welcomed and answered. The distillery may be small but the Vodka, Bourbon, and Rye Whiskey are comparable or better than the big names on the market. The prices may seem high in comparison to big batch distilleries, but remember, this distillery focuses on quality with what they produce....

We had a great tour and informative tasting. The comment that it was pricey does not apply in our opinion. We purchased a bottle of their vodka after our tasting and it is very smooth and worth the price compared to other nice store brand vodkas. It was also nice buying a locally made excellent product.
