Came up from Cincinnati to Travers City and wanted very much to sample the beers at RIGHT BRAIN BREWERY. I think they were offering up about 22 or 23 beers the day we were there. The brewmaster is either some type of genius or a complete wacko. Amongst the IPA's offered 1225 was my favorite, Concrete Dinosaur was very good... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Right Brain Brewery. Their list of beer choices was a great mix for our tastes. My husband is an IPA person and I prefer seasonal brews and thanks to the flight options we were both able to find beers we enjoyed. Service was a bit slow for the small crowd but it was midday... Right Brain is unabashedly creative. Fun, unique beers include strawberry pie infused, asparagus beer, coffee/hefe. The beer itself is decent, but not spectacular. Food is offered, but relatively expensive. All in all, it's not a beer Mecca, but is a fun place to spend an afternoon away from the usual Traverse activities.

Right Brain is in what appears to be an old warehouse giving it that large open "industrial" atmosphere. Their beers are awesome of course and they offer small pours (8 oz) which is great if you want to try several of their beers. The service was great and the staff very friendly. If you are in Traverse City you should... More

This place was really cool with a great atmosphere. It was pretty big inside, big enough to play cornhole. Bartender was a cool guy, and very knowledgeable about beer. And, that is a good thing.

Stopped in on way out of TC and was very happy that I did. Great staff (who are owners/brewers) and have a $15 taster option, where you actually get to choose which 6 beers to taste. Can even order some of more limited ones, for extra buck or two. Each taster is actually 6oz so pretty good there too.. Some... More

My husband and I usually enjoy checking out various microbreweries when we visit new places. We were, however, underwhelmed by fun-sounding but mediocre beers and a long wait for a basic burger with a bag of chips. Does a guac burger on a waffle sound eclectic and unusual? It tastes like a...well, burger on a (soggy) waffle. The ambiance could... More

Delicious beer and very friendly staff. First time visiting Traverse City and they told us about the town and what places to see.

Visited while doing Paddle for Pints (highly recommended!). Cool warehouse type setting, very large drink menu and tasty snacks! Ordered a wine (can't remember the name, delicious though) and a side of guac and chips. Must visit stop in TC!

Another stop on our brew tour. Four people, and two samplers, so we were able to try many different options. Two of our favorites were highly flavored beer one called Firestarter that was smokey and meaty. The other tasted of Spicy Thai food and finished with a kick. They boasted a strawberry shortcake beer, but I didn't taste any strawberries.... More
