Summer fun at Clinch Park

Public access beach in Traverse City. Summer fun within city limits. Many pay parking options nearby and some free parking options a few blocks away.

Beautiful views of the water and great swimming beach. It's super sandy and you can rent kayaks, get food and they have bathrooms.

This was a really nice place to walk, take in a sunset, or play with a pet. We enjoyed coming here several times during our stay!

Nice city park with clean beach. We rented paddleboards and the concession for these and kayaks was very service oriented, friendly, helpful and quick.

There is a kids area, a business where you can order food, clean sandy beach and a marina with a boardwalk along the break wall, this park has it all. With the cool breeze off the bay, it is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset or venture out to the bay in a water craft, or just sit on... More

We spent a couple of hours hanging at the beach late afternoon/early evening and it was wonderful, love the chairs scattered around you can sit on, the kids enjoyed the beach and water, we were treated to free music singing too - it was a lovely way to chill out and spend the early evening Wished we had time to... Great beach access. $9 a day for access (or $30 something for an annual pass). I was able to walk a long way along the sandy shore. Bathrooms and playground available. Beach rentals available at the northern end of the park - parasailing and boats.

There is adequate metered parking, the beach is moderately well-kept (beach-goers can help make it cleaner by disposing of any trash they have in the receptacles provided) and there is a lifeguard on duty during specified hours. There is a splash-pad for kids, a refreshment stand and restroom facilities. What more could you want?

Clinch Park is the downtown park and marina with hundreds of boats, food, beach, kayaks, splash pad and play area. There are chairs and table and open areas. A must see

There's not much shade to be had here but they have public restrooms, a nice concession stand to get cold drinks and a small but very friendly sandy beach. And for the kids there is a fantastic waterfall to play in and around.
