If you go to Sutton's Bay be sure to plan on spending a minimum of 2 hrs there. There are so many unique shops to explore even if you never buy anything. I love the Front Porch, and Enerdyne (not sure I'm spelling that right). The garden shop also has a lot of good things inside although it's beginning to... More

This village is a short drive from Traverse City and has a very nice downtown. In addition, there is a very nice beach a block off downtown. If you have a half a day while in Traverse City and want to experience a small village on the water---take this drive.

This town was about 15 miles from Traverse City, there was a Art fair with many beautiful craft tents as well. The shops were so adorable with brightly painted colors....and beautifully hand crafted items. A must see place.

We rode the TART trail from TC to Suttons Bay...great trail. The tofwn is very cute with maybe 10 shops, quite a few restaurants, coofe shops, ice cream...We ate at the V1...nice place to stop and relax before heading back on the trail!

Jim and Linda are excellent hosts. The breakfasts are excellent and their knowledge of the area is very helpful. A delightful place to stay.

We walked the trail and were surprised to find an excellent Farmers Market. We sampled and bought many excellent gluten-free bakery items at the Farmers Market made by Third Coast.

This town is very beautiful. The bay is really beautiful and is definitely picture worthy! Check out the shops there too if you get a chance. You can find all sorts of different items in the shops here! You can probably spend an hour or two walking around here!

Lovely views, very clean and relatively low traffic compared to the other beach areas. We went as a family and had a nice, peaceful picnic watching the boats go by.

Came here in June - very pretty, very small and peaceful. A nice spot for lunch (places seem very "all-American" in terms of food) and some people watching! Good restaurants with outdoor spaces.

This is such a sweet little town. Lots of unique shop with artsy items. One evening I noticed they had someone playing live music in one of the outdoor places downtown. I do however miss their colorful cheerful "Suttons Bay" sign they had as you entered town and the red British phone booth.
