Whenever we are out in that peninsula we like to stop in Suttons Bay. N ce little town where people are very nice..NOT SNOBS like a lot of that region..Good wine tasting in that area. Take a drive out side of Traverse City and visit this area very nice.

We visited in November after the tourist season when's things were a little quieter. There are many very nice art galleries and restaurants. Nearby there are some excellent wineries and distilleries. A very good place for a fun weekend.

We rode the Leelanau Trail from Traverse city to Suttons Bay and were amazed by the quaintness of the town and the beauty of the bay. Restaurants and shops in downtown to enjoy along with the beauty of the bay itself. A pleasant surprise to find this hidden gem and not as crowded as Traverse City

We actually hadn't planned to stop at Sutton's Bay, but we were driving through and it looked so inviting that we decided to park and walk through town. It's a really nice little town with interesting shops that are a lot of fun to browse. We also stopped for lunch at a restaurant called VI Grill. I'm not exaggerting when... More

Just a quaint little town with lots of shops to putz around in. You could easily spend an entire afternoon wandering the shops with friends. I definitely recommend stopping by on your way through.

We decided to go to Sutton's Bay en route up North, as our surname is Suttton! We had no expectations and were glad to see it is such a pretty place, with arts and crafts shops, a marina and lovely views. Yarn bombing on benches and lamposts were fun.

Oh my goodness what a great little town. Lots of shops, places to eat, and yes.....fudge! Yum yum! Check out the VI grill. Best food in town for sure. The pulled pork is awesome!

We were only able to spend one night at a friends vacation rental, but it was great! What a beautiful area with great access to the lake, vineyards and more! We will definitely be staying here for years to come

Suttons Bay is such a relaxed place to hang out - nice cafes, bars, shops, a great view of the bay, an art house theatre, and some nice folks ready to have a chat. It's like TC light.
