We went on a sail tour in July 2013 with Tall Ships Manitou. While the trip around the bay was nothing super amazing, the crew was fun, the captain was awesome! You do have to be shuttle across the street but it wasn't a big deal. They allowed the passengers including the kids help raise the sails which was cool.... More

The Tall Ship Manitou was one experience that we will never forget, mostly due to her crew. They were a fun and friendly bunch. They put some of the passengers to work when they needed a hand. (This made for some really great pictures and video.) We really enjoyed talking to everyone on board. The views were amazing and the... More

We were visiting Traverse City with friends and took the Manitou Wed night sail which featured the "Song of the Lake" band. Come to find out, the group has been playing on this tall ship for over 25 years and we can see why. The crowd was singing, the drinks were flowing and the crew was a blast. Two thumbs... More

We had a great time on the Thursday night wine tasting cruise. We were in town for a conference and were able to book this cruise for the night before the conference began. The crew was both informative and fun. We were able to taste 4 different wines (all good) and were treated to some nicely prepared food during the... More

The crew was very good as was the fellow that drives you from the ticket area to the dock. The ship is beautiful and very interesting. We have been on the tall ship cruise at St Augustine, Fl and it was a lot of fun, it traveled quite a distance in the 2 hours we were on board. So that... More

The 2 hour adventure was the highlight of our trip to Traverse City. We are so grateful to the crew, they go out of their way to make you comfortable. The Captain, First Mate, Second Mate and deck hand are so willing to share their knowledge of the Bay. If you don't take advantage of a Tall Ship experience you... More

Though advance reservations are highly recommended, we decided to take our chances on doing this sail last minute. We scored the last two tickets for the noon sail at about 10:30 am. It was a perfect day, just enough clouds to keep us from getting baked in the sun and smooth sailing the whole time. The ticket office staff, captain... More

We went on an evening cruise of the bay. Mind you, you don't go far but it's still a great experience. The crew is fun and entertaining and you can participate if you'd like. If you're looking to do the wine cruise or beer tasting in the summer beware that they book up fast. I would most definitely recommend the... More

It was a windy evening so I was really looking forward to a nice ride in the bay but it turned out to be a ride that zigzagged from one side of the bay to the other side without really going up /down along the sides of the day. I guess I was under the impression that the ship would... More
