This is a fun lake. Even though there are lots of residents that live on the Lake, it is one of the happening lakes in TC. There are three islands and one of them has a nice sandbar that everyone hangs out on. The fishing in the winter is good and they also do a snowmobile ice drag race in... More

All year long there are events out on the lake. In the summer you can fish, boat, swim, kayak, canoe, and so much more. In the winter you can ice fish and snowmobile as well as watch snowmobile races. There is always something fun to do and its not far from good food.

Good lake for wave runners or other trailered smaller boats. All sports lake. There's a free boat launch available to the public. There's private cabins available for rent. Area approximately 30 mins outside of downtown traverse city. Great location. Quiet and wooded.

The beach was OK, but the water was still ice cold. Good for visiting with the family and have a picnic party over there. It's good that there is a parking space.

We stayed at the Retreat on Spider Lake, the place was amazing and we will certainly go back. I can only give Spider Lake 3 stars because we were there when it was cold and there wasn't much we could do to enjoy the outside. If it had been sunny or there had been ice on the lake, would have... More

This is the most beautiful lake close to Traverse City. About 10 minutes to the east side of town. Clean and sandy. Quiet hours in the morning and evening for kayakers and pontoon boats to cruise around in the quiet. Heavily wooded with a beautiful shoreline. Some parts are hilly so they have a steep walk to the lake though.

This is a great little lake, hard to find, unless you check it out on GPS or from the air. We drove out last fall, and meandered around the entire lake (almost...the road ends near the south side), and loved the relative seclusion, quiet and peacefullness

Took our entire family for as week and the lake was a highlight of the trip. Rented a pontoon boat food a day at a great rate. A but of a trek from the city, but very manageable.
