Family Fun

Our kids had a blast -- 6 & 9 yrs old. Friendly staff and beautiful area. -- Get unlimited rides, because they'll want to go again and again (and again)

fairly unique to Michigan, but pales in comparison to Alpine Slides we have taken in Vermont with concrete instead of fiberglass tracks that allows for much more speed, and a more enjoyable experience

The slide at Crystal Mountain is fun and we found it worth the cost to by the all day pass for $25. We have now gone twice and the first time we rode again and again with virtually no waiting and had a blast. The second time there were some lines (nothing crazy long) and then it started to spit... Nice fun slide, but a word of caution...attendants don't do an adequate job of describing how to keep from getting burned. You must keep knees pulled in at all times especially in curves. If you are taller you may have a tendancy to let your kness flop over edge of slide a bit, but in a fast curve it will... More

Rode the alpine slide with my 8 year old daughter. She was initially tentative about it, but had a great time after riding it. Very easy to control your speed, even with two on the sled. Only time you would burn yourself is if you were going too fast thru some of the sharper turns.

This attraction is part of the Crystal Mountain Resort; important to know as you can buy tickets as a non-guest for the slide, but you can also purchase summer adventure passes at reasonable prices, which include all sorts of outdoor activities. We arrived quite late in the day to try out the alpine slide, but had we known, we would... More

This was great fun and not too expensive. Our teenagers, being typical teenagers, found it a bit unexciting but everyone else loved it.

Just a caution for families with teenagers: This is a fun slide but not very fast. Our teens found it disappointing.
