We enjoyed seeing this lighthouse mainly because it is so different looking than most of the other lighthouses that we have seen on PEI or Nova Scotia.

This is a real gem in PEI, and I would know as I am a born and raised Islander. I spent my childhood summers in PEI on the famous North Shore beaches and never thought I would want to stay anywhere else on PEI. I was WRONG! The lighthouse is not only an amazing historical building, but a modern, luxurious... More

I booked this stay on the last day of the season in 2013 for a stay on the last night of the season, Sept 14, of this year. I wanted something new and excitingly different and we sure got it with The West Point Lighthouse. It is located in Cedar Dunes park on the West Coast of PEI about an... More

First time I have ever had the opportunity to visit a lighthouse up close and personal. Made for some great photos and walking along the scenic red shore. Don't walk around in the bushes though, there is poison ivy nearby!

A working lighthouse with is very typical island. It used to have a restaurant but that's moved down the street. Both are an excellent take.

If you're in the area, it's worth the drive out to West Point to see the lighthouse. The local community runs the museum and inn on the site. There are plenty of artifacts and explanatory posters in the lighthouse, giving its history and explaining how it worked over time. One of the rooms at the bottom is set up to... More
