My fiance and I took the boat tour through the locks and we loved it! The boat crew was great and they served beverages, including beer! Which was a nice added treat at an additional cost. The cost for the boat tour was very reasonable. I had never been to the locks before and it was a great way to... More

We thought that we would finish up our mini-getaway with our two youngest grandchildren (ages 6 & 8 y/o) to Sault Ste Marie, MI with a ride through the famous Soo Locks on the venerable tour line. It didn't disappoint, but we knew that it wouldn't. We had taken our own kids multiple times as they were growing up, and... More

Our family took the sunset dinner cruise. The meal was very good ( the menu changes nightly), the crew was excellent, and the locks were so cool. The amount of information given to you by the narrator and Captain Bob was incredible. They share cool local stories as well as facts about the locks. We had an awesome evening. One... More

Took the boat tour, late morning. We were able to use the lock right next to a iron ore freighter and watch how fast the locks really work. then there was all the information about the locks and the St Mary's river that we did not know. They also gave us a brief water side tour of the steel factory... More

Most people come to Sault Ste. Marie, MI (the “Soo”) to see the locks - a wonderful and amazing place to visit. We come every year! To get the full appreciation of what the locks are all about is to take one of the trips through the locks on a Soo Locks Boat Tour. A very informative and educational tour... More

We travelled with 4 grandchildren ages 9-15. They all enjoyed the cruise and were particularly excited about going through the Canadian and American locks. We had gone to the observation deck at the Locks Park on Portage Ave the night before to watch one of the huge freighters go through which was great. Actually going through on a boat was... More

Took the Lighthouse Tour through the Soo Locks Boat Tours company. Worth every penny! Great narration and friendly captain and crew. The trip through the lock was awesome. Highly recommend this trip.

The boat tour is relaxing and informative. It's a great experience! They have a snack bar and restrooms on board. If you are in the area and have about 2 hours you won't regret going.

My travel partner talked me into taking a boat tour of the Soo Locks. I was reluctant at first but glad I did. There is a lot of history in that area and the tour guide did a great job of pointing out the history of the locks and St Mary's river. Definately worth the time and cash.

Probably best way to see the locks and river but really nothing special about it. Nice crew though and somewhat interesting. We went through the same lock twice, Canadian lock was broken. Stay in canada at the comfort suites and eat at Soto Trattoria (?? if you like Italian food.) It was very very good. We also ate ate clydes... More
