A simple but fun place to see if you like some history and are curious about the working of a lock. There is a nice park to walk about and view the area. Near by cafes, ice cream , fudge and other assorted places to peruse. We enjoyed the observation deck and the park.

Its very interesting how they work and to see them in action. Its even better if theres a good flow of boats coming through. Check with the visitors center to make sure theres boats scheduled. If theres nothing there you might be whistling with your hands in your pockets.

At first I was not interested in seeing the Soo Locks, but after being there a few minutes I saw what was so interesting to everyone else. Huge ships moving in a cool way. Also there are other attractions nearby.

Very interesting. In most cases you are close enough to the freighters to talk to the crew. Visitors center is nice. Resturants, shops are right across the street.

This is very cool historical place with great views and tasty places to eat. A good place for teaching about the shipping industry and seeing it in action.

I wouldn't make a trip just to see it, but it's worth seeing if you're in the area. It is interesting to see how the locks operate, as is the nearby museum.

Took the boat tour though the locks. It was awesome. Captain was very informative. A little expensive for a family of 5 but worth it.

very interesting and a nice multi-story review platform. You just share it with gnats, but who cares.

It was amazing to watch a 1,000 feet ship move through the locks. Looking down on the locks from the observation deck was an awesome experience for everyone. And best of all, it is free.

It was intriguing to see a huge ship be lifted up several feet by water alone. We took the boat tour so we could go through the locks oursevles. Very fun. Take a jacket.
