If you're visiting the Art Coast of Michigan (Saugatuck/Douglas), I'd definitely recommend the Joyce Petter Gallery on Blue Star Highway at the Bridge for its superb artwork surrounded by historical architectural elements. The gallery's site is a gloriously refurbished landmark building from the 1930s. Its meandering design pulls you enticingly through room after art-filled room, leading finally to an outdoors... more
