This is a quiet beach to spend the day at. It costs $8 to get in. We didn't hike any trails aside from the one to get to the beach. Because of the walk to the beach, we didn't expect many people there (and there weren't). There are no life guards and no dogs allowed. more
I visited Saugatuck Dunes State Park on June 20, 2009. It was a beautiful day with the sun overhead, very few clouds, and nice whitecaps rolling into the beach. Much like the Oval Beach, the Saugatuck Dunes State Park beach is pristine. Gorgeous. Clean. But best of all, it's also fairly deserted. I enjoyed my trip to Saugatuck Dunes State Park in June 2006. The beach was clean and not too crowded the day I was there. I sunbathed and the swimming was good.
