Under construction during our visit so couldn't enjoy. Tiscornia Beach where it's located requires a $5 fee to park even during non-peak times.

Pretty but I have seen nicer ones in Michigan and in other states. Plus it was closed for renovations, though you can walk along the pier on the other side parallel to the light house. Worth walking over to if your at silver beach but not really worth the stop just for the light house.

My husband and I made a pit stop here 7 yrs ago while traveling out of state to a wedding and I liked it so much I dug out our old photos just to find out where we stopped at (Tiscornia Park) so we could go back while in the area again. We weren't able to walk out like we... More

I found the lighthouses to be pretty cool. From afar they look beautiful. Up close they show their age...but that was the cool part. You could imagine the history. We have young kids so they werent as interested but they werent bored either so overall that's works for me! Bonus: looks great in pics!

We were very disappointed that the lighthouse was closed for repairs. We had just paid the parking fee then found out it was closed. I'm sure it would have been worth a visit if open.

This lighthouse will always have a special place in my heart as it is where my husband proposed! Very romantic especially at sunset.

We couldn't get to the lighthouses- I think they are working on one because they are a little rough but still really awesome!!

St. Joseph, MI is a great "West Coast" experience. Lots of great shops, independent and chain restaurants, and white sandy beaches to walk. And you can literally walk for hours! I suggest walking to the Silver Beach from the overlooking bluff. Then walking North to the pier sidewalk. Great for families with restraints, like strollers, for very small children. Or... More

The lighthouses are fun to see and look great in pictures. Up close, though, you can see that the bigger one is in need of repair. We were glad to walk along the adjacent pier to see them from the Silver Beach side.

The St. Joe lighthouses are over-rated. Yes, they are little lighthouses on boardwalks on the lake and hold some historic relic value. They are small, aren't on view point overlooks like coastal lighthouses and you can't climb to the top. There isn't anything to look at or do once you walk out to the lighthouse. Save yourself the trip and... More
