This is one of those picturesque places in Michigan. The lighthouses are a significant part of Michigan history, and I hope they are able to preserve them for generations to come.

A good walk and beautiful view! The only disadvantage is having to pay $5 to park your car. We were there for about an hour and then just gave our pass to another family that pulled up.

I had many a romantic stroll down the pier to the lighthouse on each side. Our family lives in St. Joseph, but we have moved out of state years ago. This time my husband had to stay back home, so I took my kids this summer. It's just as nice walking on the pier to see the lighthouse as it... More

The lighthouse is only part of the experience. We returned to the scene of our childhood summers, my wife and I, our three adult children and two grandchildren. Most were seeing St. Joe for the first time. It remains and retains the Norman Rockwell community of our youth, with a lovely beach that faces the historic lighthouse. A walk out... More

Our family loves to hike out to the lighthouse. A great beach view and good way to make memories. Fun for kids and adults!

The riverwalk and the lighthouse are great historical attractions. The area was clean and there were not any homeless people or beggars that are usually in these areas. There was live music and plenty of restaurants. The only negative is all of the parking near the lighthouse requires an a $5 fee which is ridiculous. We had to park on... More

There is more Light Houses in Michigan in any other states in USA. Come and see and visit. The small Towns are really charming and the Beaches are splendid.

Make sure you are on the north side of the river to gain access and the access road is through residential areas, so make sure you follow the signs. It was nice to able to walk out to the lighthouses. Made for a great sunset stroll. Would be harder if the waves were up but we had just small ones... More

Glad they are collecting funds to work on them, they are amazing to see. Water views always have something going on. Amazing train track, lift bridge and all the boats-great fun

Beautiful place to watch the sun set and the kayakers paddling--maybe I'll do that next time. Fun to watch the fishermen too.
