A beautiful beach, and drive up the coast to St. Joseph. Even watched a graduating class have their ceremony with the Lighthouse as their backdrop. Lovely to see different towns in their own element of traditions.

There is a Lighthouse Tour Map that shows you where all the various Lighthouse's are located, well worth taking a look. A great feature to the area.

Bring Your Kiddies and Senior's! There's a clean, sandy beach, carousel and water fountain, play park. Curio shops, galore(affordable) eats and treats, to stuff yourself. Don't forget the Lighthouse and the Beautiful Art Sculpture, on your way, out to the lighthouse. Beach clothes, sandals, beach towels and BBQ, items, will make a Picture Perfect Day, for the whole family. Plenty... More

We try to visit St. Joseph a few times a year. Always worth the time. LOVE the downtown shopping area. The beach is nice and the carousel is worth a visit... Wish I could live in this beautiful and gracious town.

Admire them from Silver beach. Don't spend the money to park to walk out to them. Up close they are rusty and sealed up so you can't even go in.

Unable to specifically rate the beach for St Joseph, however the lighthouse were also a big attraction for me. In and around the lighthouse area is more commercial with the museum and also some stores, etc, but just a little further along the beach, it is much quieter, and infinitely more beautiful, with great views back along the beach to... We decided to take a relaxing stroll down the pier to see the light house. Well....it was more revolting and warranting of a shower than a relaxation method. There was a pile of feces at the base of the lighthouse. It looked like people had just kept adding to that pile for a while now. The lighthouse is rusted and... More

Visited this lighthouse last year & again last week but this time saw it from a lookout at Tiscornia Park. Wow the sand dunes, lake & sea grass made for a beautiful picture. The weather was perfect but wear shoes because the sand gets really hot even if the water is cold. Beautiful view & a bathroom too.

This is one of those picturesque places in Michigan. The lighthouses are a significant part of Michigan history, and I hope they are able to preserve them for generations to come.

A good walk and beautiful view! The only disadvantage is having to pay $5 to park your car. We were there for about an hour and then just gave our pass to another family that pulled up.
