WOW! What a wonderful beach!! Our first visit to Silver Beach definitely won't be our last. Our large family group was just so impressed with everything. On the day we visited, a perfect beach day, the water was so calm and we were all amazed at how shallow the water is for a long way out. Beautiful clear, surprisingly warm,... More

We have been here several times, and have been overjoyed with all the fun things to do. This year, however, I was so disappointed with how littered the beach was. Perhaps it was a fluke, but there was so much trash on the beach it was uncomfortable. Despite this, it is such a nice beach with nice amenities. The kids... More

What a nice beach! I have taken it so for granted. Lots of room for kids to run around. Great playground area. Volleyball courts available. Large area. Life guards and warning flags. Everything a parent would want, including bathrooms and a snack stand. Really well kept. No dogs, no alcohol, no bottles allowed. That is fine with me. Wonderful beach!

We hung out on Silver Beach the Sunday over the 4th of July weekend. We arrived around 10:30 am and the beach wasn't too crowded. The beach was pretty clean (we had stopped by the afternoon before and it was full of trash). We spent most of the time hanging out in the sand and little time in the water.... More

We have come to St Joe to go to the beach several times in the last year and I was really disappointed this time. We came up for the afternoon on July 5 and it seemed really dirty. We love being able to go over to the splash pad and have pizza or walk around downtown but I am not... More

We came over the Fourth of July weekend this summer and spent a lot of time at the beach! It was totally packed both days we went, ( though especially on the fourth). It's a great beach for families and little kids and also there were a lot of big tent parties and all going on too. One thing though... More

My husband and I have been visiting Silver Beach for years with our 3 kids. We spent the 4th of July there this year and we were extremely disappointed. There were several fights on the beach, people were smoking pot, kids and adults kept walking on our blanket instead of going around us and they didn't even apologize, too many... More

Beautiful beach and accommodations. Not sure why we have to pay $8.00 to park for non-residents...If you pay to stay at a local hotel you should get some sort of break on that...But if you have a lot to haul you have no choice...

Silver Beach. Was pack to the gills and reminded us of beaches in Southern California sans waves. Lots of bar b q's. "Help yourselves" one of a large group of grillers said and meant it an he definitely knew what he was doing! Great vibe and beautiful place to celebrate anything.

You won't believe that you are in Michigan when you visit Silver Beach County Park! You really feel like you are in Florida. It is very clean. The park offers the carousel, playground equipment, clean restrooms, free outside movies at night and there are plenty of places to eat there too. Once you clean up after a day at the... More
