It's a large, clean, quiet park for the family and for events. You'll definitely enjoy it when you go there.

Ojibway Island is just a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing lunch break, a fun family afternoon, or a great location for a big outdoor concert! The island, located in the Saginaw River in the city of Saginaw, is a refreshing oasis in the middle of a dirty city that has seen better days. The city does a good job... More

Okay, now after reading other reviews I just had to put-in my 2centsworth. I am from another large city in Michigan which definitely has the same "concerns" with it's parks and open spaces. And...I love a good park. Sure, in the middle of the day, especially on weekends, and when with a group---you are safe. The setting is actually phenomenal... More

Ojibway Island is my favorite place to visit in Saginaw. This city has a bad rep, but I feel that it is truly beautiful and one of its hidden gems is this park. Definitely a must-see if you have some free time.

A nice island to walk around. Easy access from either end of the island. The main loop is about two-thirds of a mile around. Always have walkers during the day.

This sounds like a wonderful place to picnic, and hang out. NOT AT ALL THE CASE. The island is more or less a place for drug activity, and prostitution on a day to day basis. When there is a concert or big function ITS GREAT, but any other time.... keep on driving. Broken glass and trash everywhere, grass needs to... More

Ojibway Island is lovely - truly - but with the limited parking it is frustrating. We drove in circles, to finally find a spot. That just put a damper on things.

I image if you just wanted a picnic table to catch some rays or fresh air by the river this the place for you. There were a number of young men hanging around with no obvious purpose. So I don't think I would recommend this as a place to take the family. Too bad as the park has some great... More

A ride around the island has areas for gatherings & yard games, parking and picnic tables usually available. Attractions include Music Festival during the summer, Public stage area for civic functions, playground for kids. Sit along the Saginaw river and enjoy a usually peaceful time. Originally a massive mound of sawdust from the lumbering era, Ojibway Island became hard packed... More

I had business to do on the otherside of the river, had a few minutes to spare and decided to cruise around the Island. It used to be a great place to go, but this part of town is not the safest anymore and I would not go there at night. When there are large events like the KCQ concert... More
