Nice little venue outside of Detroit. Parking nearby, easy in/out back to highway. Sound and staging very good. Floor is slanted, so GA section has good sightlines. Bar service at the rail. Excellent idea, wish more venues did this. Overall, very nice and would definitely go back for another show.

I attended a concert by a favorite artist, and the sound was over-amplified, distorted, uncomfortable, unbearable. Never attend a concert here if you love the artist or her music.

The way that the theater has been set up using various flat levels rather than a sloping floor makes it difficult to see the performance if you are not in the first couple of rows of a level. Also, the plastic folding chairs were uncomfortable. If you purchase tickets, be certain to get seating in the first row of a... More

The theatre was set up with folding chairs for the comedy show I attended. I felt it was difficult to find my seats without the help of ushers, which they did have plenty helping. The seats are metal folding chairs so it makes for people moving their chairs around and intoxicated people standing up and knocking their chairs over which... More

This venue is set up in tiers on the main floor with a small balcony. The sound was great but its an odd setup.

Went for concert that had general admission and tables. We reserved a table and had very comfortable seats with easy in/out access, plus bar service. We notices some folks surprised to see no seating, so just a reminder that general admission generally means standing....so pay and get the tables if that's not for you! Classy interior, well-staffed bar, and very... More

Truly horrible venue and staffing. Freezing cold (all requests for improvement ignored), with arctic drafts coming from the back of the house from doors in the lobby, metal folding chairs, stench of chlorinated cleaning material permeating the frigid air. So cold, no coats were removed where we were sitting. The performer arrived half hour late, but could overlook that IF... More

We've enjoyed many great concerts here. It's large enough to draw good acts and small enough to be up close and personal. Seating can be a challenge if not reserved, but crowds tend to be happy and friendly and most everyone is there for a good time, parking decks fill up so get there early and grab a bite to... More

This is my neighborhood concert venue and I love it! They have a pretty decent lineup of up-and-coming bands plus a few big name acts from time to time. I saw Adele here for $17 before she got big. General admission is kind of pain as you have to get their early (and stand around) for a good spot, but... More

Royal Oak is ONE Cool Town, as is its' neighbor Ferndale. The ROMT is such an amazing place to see a show. Crowds are beautiful, polite, intelligent, creative and interesting. Doesn't get better. Been seeing shows Here since I was a Kid. Returned after decades of living elsewhere, and it is still the best location for large bands in a... More
